Need help with Dark Mantis customization

Alright, a couple of things I wanna do with my Mantis, and I have some questions.

1. I want to remove the body shroud. I have an idea how to do it, but I do have a question. Which would be easier, cutting (and later resoldering) the wires and taking out the speaker/battery from the bottom? Or removing the speaker and just taking the body off?

2. Related to #1, what would I have to do to replace the current speaker with a 2-watt speaker? One of the other guys sells a speaker I'm told would sound wonderful with the sound font I'm using.

3. I got mine without FoC, but I did get the Quick Disconnect. Would I have to make any changes to the wiring or could I just buy another LED with FoC? I was being cheap with my first two modules (used reward points to pick up a SY one), but I think when I get the BR LED I want it to flash orange.

4. Which would look better, Fire Orange or Pyrestone Orange? I know PO leans more toward red and FO is more yellow, but I'm curious what you guys thought would look better with the BR module.

5. How does the FoC work? Would it be possible to convert an LED without FoC to have it? I have a DVA LED and I'd like it to flash VA on clash.

Wouldn't really know but I thought you could just take the body shroud off? Or do you mean the shroud with the arrows? Or the bottom shroud? I think the bottom shroud is what gives the saber character, seen a Mantis without the top shroud and I think it looks better, then has a nice choke point.

The neck shroud is the silver part with the arrows.
The body shroud is the black/red/blue/longer silver part (depending on which Mantis you got).
The body detaches from the curved part, and the shroud comes off of the top.
Except the speaker mount keeps the body stuck, so the shroud can't be taken off.

And I do like it, but I want to use this saber one-handed, and it does add a little weight. I already took off the neck shroud and replace the pommel and the hilt was noticeably lighter.
Also, I have some plans for the saber. I'm gonna replace the emitter (it's nice, but not my thing) and add a PVC shroud over the new emitter. I'm also gonna wrap the body (the actual body, without its shroud) in faux stingray skin.

You get a point just for the fact that the newest saber on the market is being customized and discussion is alive for the future Mantis customers to know what to expect. Kudos to you!

I'm definitely interested in seeing what you are able to accomplish with your vision.

Well, the shroud's off and the leather's on. It looks...kinda shellty. It's in 3 different pieces. I didn't want to pay $30 for a whole yard of the stuff so I just bought 2 4"x4" samples, and unfortunately I didn't cut them right. It looks okay, and it's not TOO noticeable, but still kinda messed up. Basically, one piece covers half of it, and the other half is split into another two pieces, with the covertec wheel at the middle.
I'd post pics but things happened because I couldn't find answers and now the Mantis is in for repairs.
At least I know what I'm doing for the next time. Once I've got the new emitter and crafted a shroud for it, I plan on adding a different leather, this black reptile leather they sell, to the curved part of the hilt, to cover up the metal not already covered by the shroud. Not sure yet, but I'm definitely considering it.
