NGL, I'm pretty flippin' frustrated right now.

I just got an azure Reaper with Emerald and sound.

I need to access the USB port.

I can't get the bloody speaker\battery pack out for the life of me. I've watched the video, I've removed the pommel, I've tried tapping it against my hand, tapping it against the floor, using a significant amount of force in both methods of "tapping", and I kept this up for a full solid gods-be-damned hour. If I "tap" it against the floor one more time, my downstairs neighbors are probably going to come up here and do things to me that the most twisted Sith lord in the galaxy would be proud to claim credit for. I also tried the "remove the emitter and poke at the battery pack from the opposite end" thing that's in the video as a last resort method, and THAT hasn't worked either. Not gonna lie, folks, I'm getting pretty damn pissed. I have no experience with dismantling electronics or building them or anything of the sort, I don't know what I'm doing with wires, I don't think it's wise to just sit here jabbing blindly at them, and I did NOT spend hundreds of dollars on a bloody saber just to go on a fruitless dissection mission that culminates in me breaking the friggen thing, especially since all I'm trying to do is achieve basic functionality of the saber's intended use that I paid hundreds of dollars for! I need to get to that damn USB port, and the battery pack will NOT dis-lodge. How can I get this stupid thing loose?! (And for that matter - WHY in god's name wasn't it an option to get a USB port installed?! This is INSANE!) Someone please help!

Hi Pika, I left a response on the other thread prior to reading this one.  Good luck and contact Emory at info@ultrasabers if all else fails.   Hope you get it fixed soon.

Hey Pika, sorry to hear about your woes.. it can be pretty frustrating.. I actually had an issue with my Chosen One last night. Luckily I was able to resolve it, eventually. Turns out the Obsidian board had shifted ever so slightly to the left and was getting caught on an edge on the way out.. it was especially vexing as I had taken it out multiple times before.

Is your speaker/battery pack coming out at all?

Or does it come out part way and stop?

If it doesn't seem like it is coming out at all, maybe try shaking / bumping / pressing everything the opposite direction a bit, to get everything to slide a bit deeper into the saber, then try tapping the whole thing the other direction?

Posting a pic might help us diagnose the issue.. or it might not..

Good luck!

It won't budge at all, and it's jammed way the hell up in there. I tried to take a few pics, but all I have is my phone, and they were coming out fairly blurry due to the pack being so far up in the hilt. Here's what I got though :\

Wow.. that thing looks hella deep in there..

I don't have a Reaper.. so I'm I'm going to ask a possibly stupid question based on other videos/reviews I have seen of it.. so forgive me..

but, are you SURE you've unscrewed the pommel? Not the slanted end piece (that I think is held in place by 2 set screws) but the actual silver pommel ring that sits between the body of the hilt and the slanted end piece?

Also, I believe the main body of the hilt can be unscrewed into two pieces between the activation switch and the bottom end of the saber.. I think..

You can see some of what I am referring to in this video..

other vids may provide more info / help..

WOW, I'm a dumbass. Okay. Yeah. There was a screwy-off place that I didn't realize screwed off. See, boys and girls, this is what happens when you try and perform surgery on lightsabers after a 12-hour work day going on two hours of sleep.

Thanks so much for your help. In the mean time, I'm going to try and not be too embarrassed.

I'm glad that it was an easy fix. I know when I got my Manticore I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wouldn't turn on even when plugged into the recharge port till I discovered the small piece of tape stopping the flow of electricity

Bwaha! Okay, you guys are making me feel waaaay better. V glad to hear that having a "durrr, this here thang dun work!" moment followed by a "Captain Obvious to the Rescue!" moment is a rite of passage around here rather than a sure sign I need to head back to headquarters and get my name officially changed to Darth Dumbass.
