Awesome customization with the DSI, and what people have been saying of course, Sith Saber for sure.

Heh heh, can't get much more black than that. Very nice 

But can you still wield it properly? I can imagine that those rubber rings would try to limit your fluid movements by attempting to cling to your hand, especially when twirling the saber.

I think, and this is only from experience with the DSI, that it was meant to be held in the center of the hilt, I personally don't do that, therefore I go for a more Djem So while wielding this thing as I am forced to hold the DSI in the center of the hilt because of it's size..

So imagine these bada** beasts being manipulated in a very aggressive way. I can just see it now......

Yes, these are prime examples of poise in simple lightsaber customization while maintaining the "wow" and functionality factor, Kudos bud, kudos.

@ Kalibos:  I never bought o-rings before other than for my scuba tank long ago and they were black as well.  Do they make them in other colors?

I have seen coloured silicone O-rings not rubber ones though, I am not sure what their texture or durability would be like, also you could spray paint black O-rings just make sue that you prime them with a gray or white undercoat first and that you dont stretch them as the paint will peel off or crack.

Too bad about not having colored ones, painting would probably work.  I wonder if it would rub off after completely drying?  I spray painted a storm trooper blaster (almost 1 year ago) but the paint still comes off like it is still wet (at the end and top of the barrel, where the wire looking cords loop).

Did you undercoat it first?
Painting tips ( I do this a lot ) 1 take some smooth wire wool to what ever surface you are spraying ( this gives the paint something to "stick to ,smooth plastics ect, the paint "slides off")
                                                  2 Undercoat it with at least two coats of primer, Use gray primer if spraying black or dark colours, use  white primer if spraying a bright colour eg Red, green or
                                                     or blue or even white.
                                                  3 Be patient, allow to dry overnight between coats, (Resist the dark side urge to pick it up and play with it) this will minimise the risk of getting your
                                                     Fingerprints forever ingrained on your painted surface.
                                                  4 Enjoy what you are doing, dont see it as a chore or a task (I enjoy painting and spray painting It brings out my calm inner jedi)

I usually wait at least 24 hrs if not more between coats.  I've never used a wire wool before, between coats, on plastic cause I've never had a problem with paint rubbing (actually if you just touch it it comes off) off on any plastic I've painted before (must have been lucky).  Will try it on the blaster where the paint is coming off.
