Welcome to Empire Market.

Hey all!

This is my first official post here on the forum after lurking for a little while. I wanted to wait until I actually got a saber before I posted so that I would have something of value to say on here. This is a great community, guys. I'm glad to be a part of it!

About a week ago, I decided to pull the trigger and buy the saber of my dreams. Darth Vader had been one of the leading icons of my childhood. I owned all the toys, the t-shirts, the lunch boxes, etc. As a kid, I'd make my own Vader lightsaber out of a wooden stick and painted it red and black. As I grew, I ended up buying those cheapo plastic sabers from various toy stores. Maybe about five or six years ago, I bought the Master Replicas Vader saber, and somehow that saber was lost in time through various moves from city to city. I eventually forgot about my interest in Star Wars.

But several months ago, I somehow stumbled upon US videos on YouTube and it rekindled that old childhood spark in me. I needed to have one. And as fate would have it, I saw the Chosen One saber. And here we are now.

Enough of my nostalgic blabbering aside. Haha

I'm the kind of person that conducts days and weeks of research before I invest my money into anything, whether its guitars, firearms, cars, etc. I knew what the risks were and what I should expect.

The Chosen One exceeded all of my expectations.

The craftsmanship of the aluminum is gorgeous. It's aesthetically stunning and flawless. The cuts and polishes are very clean. The saber is also LOUD. It caught me off guard when I initially ignited the saber. The Obsidian soundboard definitely is a quality piece. The LED module is very, very bright. Being the idiot that I am, I tried to look into the hilt at the LED module and wasn't able to do so without blinding myself. I also got the saber with silver FoC, which seems to be pretty standard.

The only real gripe I had with the saber was the cost of shipping to my residence during the ordering process. I'm stationed here in Honolulu, Hawaii and the prices for everything suck. This obviously isn't US's fault by any means, but it was ALMOST a deal breaker when calculating the costs. Luckily, I took the plunge and I don't regret it.

There's not much I can explain about the saber that you folks don't already know. But what I really wanted to highlight more than anything else is Emory's customer service and communication. I devastated him with so many emails and questions before I ordered the saber, and throughout the entire process, Emory was insightful, professional, helpful, patient, and what I value most out of anyone, kind. I understand that he is a family man with children to take care of. To be able to run this company, take care of his family and customers, and to be such an asset to this community is just so outstanding. Take my review not only as an affirmation of a quality US product, but also as a testament of Emory's character. After all and as funny as it sounds, he did help make a man's childhood dream come true.

Very nice. Exactly what I want in mine when I get one =] But non light av switch but with black box and windows. I like some of the pictures online how it does appear to have windows on his hilt

Got your PM, my braddah. It's great to see a saber enthusiast and fan way out here in the Pacific too! Thought I was the only one. Haha

For sure, it is definitely an amazing piece of art.

For sure, Hazard! And thanks for the kind words!
Getting this saber definitely rekindled that old love for this type of stuff. I'm a child at heart, and I'm sure those around me would agree that I act like one too!

I think many of us feel very much the same way, here...

For me, the Prequel films (and Lucas' mercantile greed) more-or-less killed my fanship of Star Wars. And it wasn't until recently, when I re-watched several seasons of the Clone Wars series, that my faith (and appreciation for) Star Wars returned.

From there, I did a few weeks of research into what I wanted, and felt justified in spending...and wound up here.

The rest, as they say, is history...

(or perhaps something that happened "Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...")

Lots of childhood dreams coming true. And that's nice to see.
