Thank you all for your help, lurking on this forum for the last several weeks helped me customize and complete the best secret santa gift for my friend ever!!

I thought I'd share my lessons, progress, and final shots with you all:

Bleedscarlet,

I flipped through the link and saw all the work that went into this saber, it looks to be quite involved, but absolutely worth the effort.  In fact please feel free to be my Secret Santa anytime.

However, before further posting, if you would please head over to the RULES section (page one big bold RED letters) and acknowledge that you have read the rules it would be greatly appreciated.    This is required by all forum members and it keeps us accountable to each other, so that we have an environment for good communication.  Thanks

I would like to grant you a point for that customization work, so are you wanting light side or dark side points?

Wow, that is a super amazing gift!  Your friend is going to be SO over the moon!  I hope you will share any future projects with us.  Smiley

And regarding the point, I firmly believe a Jedi doesn't get to choose his path, only his actions and his path is crafted for him. So give me whichever points you think I deserve :-D

Thanks! I absolutely intend to build another/more/customize this one with him further, and I'll share all of my stuff here. If it's another big project, I'll post something on my site and share it here, for the small stuff I'll just share here directly.

Hah! Honestly, once I bypassed all my stupid mistakes, it really wasn't THAT difficult to do. DIY it man!
