I always have mine delivered to my work. My co-workers know i have a saber coming and if i'm not there they sign for it and dump it in my office

The relief is real.

The last saber i ordered was through the ETSY shop so i chose to have it delivered to my address, as this was the first saber with an actual Ultrasabers.com account.. it HAD to be delivered to my billing address. Bit of a pain, otherwise i would of just ordered it to work again!

Next time though it will be different. Yes, i'm already planning the next!

Glad you got it.  As someone else pointed out you can opt to have it held at a FEdEx facility close to you.  It's what I do because I know exactly what will happen otherwise.  Either It will be attempted to be delivered when I am at work or just left in plain view on my door stop

Lev, when placing an order through the US site you were not given the option to have your shipping and billing assesses differ?

Not that it makes it impossible to redirect the shipment once the tracking number is issued, but it would be nice to have it set to go to the FedEx location right from the outset.

Not on the first order -- US requires (or did, back when I ordered my first one) that the saber is shipped to your credit card's billing address; I believe it's an anti-fraud thing.  Subsequent orders can be shipped anywhere.

So glad to hear it worked out okay!  Yay for faith in humanity.  And I can totally see myself making the exact same mistake as that lady did -- you're expecting a package, a package shows up, it clearly must be yours, right?  Cognitive science already predicts that people will make weird assumptions despite the presence of really obvious clues to the contrary (that isn't my name, that isn't the size package I was expecting, etc).

Yep that's correct, i had to ship to my billing address for my first order on a new account.

Haha, yeah i can understand what she told me. We're only human, she made a mistake. It did cause me a restless night but i'm already over it and happily enjoying my new saber. It's incredible!

If that's the case Thanamira, I'll just call FedEx as soon as the tracking number is issued and order a Redirect to Hold.  That would explain why the guy I emailed at US a few weeks ago was saying to call after the fact.

...that's brilliant!  I should've done that the first time.  Instead, I had to finagle with work to work from home that day.

Be aware that most of the time it will introduce a delay of one business day to do RTH as opposed to having the package ship with that address in the first place. But I have reason based on prior history with FedEx Express to believe my package would normally arrive one day ahead of schedule, so the RTH delay shouldn't severely delay it.
