Hello all, this is my first review of any UltraSaber product.
I tested the waters with a Grab Bag stunt saber.
So right off the bat, it has no sound effects, but I knew that going in.
I opted for a heavy blade, and chose to pick my own color and I chose Red.
With ordering and shipping it took about 2 weeks and 4 days to get to me.
On the site it says it will take several weeks, so I cant complain with that.
I was just anxiously awaiting my saber so I could check it out.
First off, upon opening the box and peeling back the bubble wrap, I find this sleek black hilt.
It had silver "stripes" I'm calling them on the handle and the "guard" had Peek a boo holes to see the blade whist it was lit.
Upon research I discover that I had Received a Dark Apprentice LE V4 Hilt. I could not have been more happy.
It is a beautiful hilt. Fits well in my hand. The slim neck is a natural hold for your fingers.
Once the blade is lit, I turn the activation switch into my palm. Where I do not feel it any longer.
Upon sharing my good fortune on Facebook with my friends I soon became the object admiration and jealousy.
For I didn't know it, at the time, but had received a great hilt for my Grab Bag.
It's weight is perfect and feels not to heavy but not to light. Which is perfect as I plan to use this in cosplay and combat. So not having a heavy weapon is a plus.
The Blade is Non UltraEdge with a round tip. I got the Blazing Red color and let me tell you it is BLAZING. it is the perfect Sith red.
They tell you up front that the Grab Bag Hilts, have some defects. But I gotta tell you I am hard pressed to find any. I looked and looked. I could not find a scratch a ding or dent or worn spots. As I run my hand up the blade, I can feel a small scratch in the upper portion of the blade. But no biggie.
Over all I am very please and very happy with my 1st purchase of a Grab Bag UltraSaber.
I will be buying more Sabers, and I will get one with sound Next time.
Nice. Dark Apprentice isn't so bad.
