Hello Everyone,

Got my new Graflex SE with Emerald and v4 sound only 2 days ago and I already got some battle damage.  My darn cats pulled the charging cord and the saber fell to the ground and the top edge of the emitter got slightly crushed in. (MUST BE SITH CATS)   UUUGGGHHHH!  See photo below.   Everything else seems ok, and I was wondering how fellow lightsaber owners react or feel about scratches and dents to their sabers.  Please share photos of some good battle damage to make me feel better, that I'm not alone.  At first I was really upset, then my young daughter said "It's a lightsaber, it's supposed to be dented and scratched".  Let me know your thoughts.

Shiny saber you got there, let me fix that.

I'm probably not the best person to reply to this thread considering I usually scratch and damage hilts on purpose, that being said your damage doesn't look too bad. Plus, with as much action as these things saw, they'd never be pristine in universe.

This thread might make you feel a little better about your saber battle scar  Wink

You'll have to scroll down some for the pics, but I suggest reading the story that goes along with it at the top.

Of course, now we have Drahcir to do this on purpose for us  Grin

The quality of the warrior is marked by his scars and how he bears them.  :-)  I know it hurts a bit, but it looks appropriate.  I'd come up with something better than "my cat knocked it down" though.  Maybe it was knicked by a Sith blade while you were furiously battling to defend the Light!

Yeah.  Much better.

Thanks for the replies.  I guess we didn't buy these lightsabers to be displayed behind glass.  Let's swing away and enjoy them!  And watch out for stray Sith cats!

Most of mine have got a couple of dings in them somewhere - nothing worse so far (touch wood!).

It shows character. I would leave it. But if you felt inclined you could shape that round lip easy with some elbow grease. Diff levels of sandpaper and fish off with some metal glo polishing paste. But I like character as well. There will be more.
