Yeah. If memory serves, SM:TAS was my first reference for Clancy's voice.

I knew him as The Kurgan (Highlander) already and kept thinking Lex sounded familiar.  But I wasn't a huge fan of Superman: TAS overall.  That's when they started removing the Yellow "S" from his cape and nerfed his powers.

I was a weird kid...  I paid attention Stunt Men and Voice Actors in credits.  To this day I can sometimes recognize which stunt person is working on a film by their movements....like I guessed correctly Zoe Bell (Stunt woman for Xena and Uma Thurman in Kill Bill) was the fighting stunt woman for Hela in Ragnarok.  It's a weird useless talent to have.....

What is annoying me at the moment, is the sheer amount of "Don't buy from them because of blah, blah, blah.  Buy from the other guys instead because of blah, blah, blah." posts I see on YouTube and various other posting sites.  I've honestly looked at some of the other guys and nearly 90% of their stock is "Out of Stock".  Honestly, I really think people need to chill out on the buying of sabers from any site until said companies either get their current orders processed and things to make said sabers back in stock.  And maybe limit the amount of sabers that can be purchased when their stocks are low or something so that they can at least focus on those particular orders and get them out before allowing more to be ordered.

I don't know.  I'm just really rambling at the moment.

Edit: Also, please let me know if this is appropriate.  I'm not trying to stir the pot or anything.  I just really don't know whether or not I should have posted it.  Probably should have gone in the "Venting" thread, but I was responding to the quoted post.

It's not really all that weird.  I've seen stunt actors that have starred in Jackie Chan movies that I have recognized in things like Power Rangers just due to the way they take a fall during explosions scenes that throw them around.

I can recognize voices very well, and have an uncanny ability to remember faces.

Faces are easy. Voices too I think, though less so than faces. I'll literally see a face and be like "how do I know that guy", and it is probably someone I saw in a store a bunch of years ago. But I get you with the recognition of Stunt people (by far one of the coolest and most harrowing sides of the film making world). While I can't say I know many movie stunt people, I will say that when watching some of our resident Spin Masters (Sam, Cephalus, Ryan, etc.), I can recognize each by their distinct style, whether they are in good lighting, silhouetted, or just the blade spinning in the dark. I can also recognize Ray Park (but seriously, who cant?).

This is the bull of the whole thing. Years back, during the whole Swine flu thing, more people had a higher chance of infection and death, yet we didn't freak out. Now there's a new bug that may only affect 10% of the population, but we have to completely cripple the economy. Makes perfect sense.

Same. But I also think that was the point with the stand-ins: not to look exactly like her, just close enough. The dumb thing about that was (I don't know if either has acquired more height since filming) I estimate that Kiera was about 6" taller than Natalie. And I've seen Natalie's costumes, she is a wisp of a thing.

Not quite. The trick to facial recognition is looking beneath the surface, to the structure of the skull. I've actually reached a point where individual facial features look familiar. It drives me nuts when I see a face and can't figure out why it looks familiar, and then I realize that it is only one or two features. Kinda like I'm the only one that sees that my dad and Harrison Ford look alike from the nose up.

I was going off of what they measured 22 years ago. I do feel that Portman was cast partly because of her diminutive stature as a parallel to Carrie Fisher, who was also a tiny thing.

They may do something similar to what they did for RDJ, so that Tony didn't look as short when standing next to the Chris-es, who are all 6'+.
