you can just use some rubber bands to protect it better

The best thing to use is velcro. Attach a small piece to the wall  and another to the battery pack. That should keep it from moving around.

Nope.

One thing I have done in the past is wrap electrical tape around the batteries to hold them in, and you can wrap the battery pack with tissue to prevent the rattling.

I agree with Caine on that one. That is what I do with mine. The electrical tape will protect the battery pack as well as prevent the batteries from coming out on you. Wrap a couple strands along the outside of the pack to keep it compact, then one or two over the batteries themselves to protect them. When you have to change the batteries, take those off then replace them. I do believe they sell battery protectors off the US site.

The problem with tape though, is it leaves that sticky and funky residue.

And it has to be replaced with the batteries, that wouldn't work for me because I charge mine every night. And tissue leaves room for an electrical fire. I vote for the velcro idea, but for a more permanent solution measure out how far the battery pack goes into the hilt, then hot glue some kind of barrier to the inside of the hilt where measured, basically the idea is that when the pommel is screwed on it sandwiches the battery pack in place, the dominix has the cavity set where it does this already. Thing is though it is very tedious for measurements, problem with the velcro is if the battery pack is open (like mine) then there is really no place for velcro except on the top or bottom, I'd attach it to the bottom of the Battery pack and top of the pommel, when you screw in the pommel make sure the hilt is facing emitter side down, then flip it. When unscrewing the pommel you could just undo it, but that my damage wiring, if you're worried about that just unscrew it a little, then with a slotted screwdriver (-) just undo it and continue to take off the pommel.

Sorry for the overdepth in detail, i just like to answer every possible question
