As always For keeping the creative wheel turning!
How fitting you might have a little outpost on the dark side of the moon watching for sneaky sith! (Meanwhile I have been stuck between the anvil if work and the hammer of studying and get a lot of 503 errors trying to see the forums) Like the death star moon comparison too.
I've always wondered what your workshop might look like, the sanctum of the saber smith if you will a thought for another time perhaps.
And a good job piecing C-3PO together. Joining the company fellow threepio assemblers Anakin and Chewbacca. Even got the silver leg and the hand and semi exposed internal details.
One always wonders about the red arm in The Force Awakens, perhaps the greatest mystery of the sequel trilogy
Hello LSG, good to see you broke through the internet barriers! If it's any comfort I too have been getting the 503 errors along with "Connection Errors- try later" and "SMF Database cannot complete your request" messages. Persevere and you will log on....eventually!
So happy to hear you liked my recent stuff. My workshop is really just a 13 year old laptop but in my head it is a glorious room with a workbench and full on toolset for building these things

I think I could have done with Babu Frik's help with the Threepio model I built. As I mention to MavRick it wasn't easy getting the face right. Especially as it is difficult to work out the contours and shape of a shiny/polished item. I did try referencing blueprint images but each one was different and came out looking wrong so my model is a "Best Guesstimate".
And Threepio's red arm has been explained in a special "one shot" comic (issue: Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1) In it, Admiral Ackbar has been captured by the First Order in order to obtain his knowledge of Resistance navigational routes. For some reason a rescue squad of droids was assembled including Threepio and a re-programmed First Order protocol droid named Omri. As expected the rescue didn't go well and 3PO lost his arm. I won't spoil what happened or such but I will say the comic and story opened up a big discussion among fans about the nature of sentient droids and if they have "feelings and emotions" or souls.
But if you can find a copy you can read it (or maybe it's available as an e-comic).
Oh and I will just say I have a First Order Security droid colour scheme for 3PO for a future post and I've sent you a PM with a link to my site to see a little friend of mine. I can't post the image as it has sabers from the other guys in it too.
Thanks as always to you and MavRick.
