Plugging in the saber and selecting 'Resources' from the 'Main' tab will guide you to the following info.

Diamond Controller Datasheet

256 MB internal memory

Obsidian USB Datasheet

V3: 1 sound bank, 4 MB internal memory
V4: up to 16 sound banks, 16MB internal memory

The v3/v4 sound banks are ready to be Formatted, so you can choose their size. The only down side is, is you'll lose your sound font(s). I have a backup it the following address if that's something you're interested in doing.
