New saber not working

Hi, I am brand new to this and just purchased my first saber.
I love the curved hilt so went with the Mantis CE. I purchased a week or so ago and it was just delivered to me yesterday. Upon unboxing, I ordered the rechargeable battery with the charger and I charged the battery before turning on the saber. once the battery was charged fully i put it in the battery module and immediately my blade turned on with a faint red glow at the bottom and when I pushed the power button, the sound turned on but it did not turn the blade on it just stayed red. I took the battery out and then back in, now the blade turned green and same thing with the power button only activated the sound. i unscrewed the blade from the saber and it is an electronic module that connects to the blade but has a single LED that is glowing green. Im not sure if I need to do something to get it to activate the blade?

Please help if you know what is going on.
