Does anyone know of a place that may sell display stands for sabers? Or maybe mounting brackets for walls and such? I want to be able to store and display my sabers safely and securely. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do a web search for "Sword wall rack." The mounting hardware will work perfectly for your sabres.

You can use pool que wall racks. They hold 8 sabers and usually have felt lining the base and the pass thru for the blade Stay away from the ones with clips for the top as they break and can mar the blade. Usually they are available in a variety of wood finishes. You can mount the movie posters behind them. I purchased them on ebay.

do they make them with 1" pass throughs? That would be awsome!

The horizontal ones will sometimes curve a blade over time, that why I use the vertical ones.

Best way to go. Like a pool cue setup with different clamps to hold the blade. Courtesy of Cronfios.

My loving wife hit upon a solution at random while walking through Wal-Mart. In the mops/brooms section, she found an item called "Stay Organized" for mops and brooms. It's a plastic wall mount with 5-slots, each with a rubber-backed wheel and a rubber stopper opposite it, that fits the blades perfectly. Unless you are okay with the white plastic look, it is easily disassembled, painted and reassembled. I couldn't find it on the internet, but I'm sure you'd be able to find something like it at your local Wally World, Home Cheapo, etc. Just look for a mop/broom organizer. And pardon my cruddy paint job - I picked up another one today ($7.87), and this one will be better. I thought about picking up a third, but I currently only own 8 sabers and the thought of all of those empty slots seemed...dangerous, lol.

I'd get something underneath those, just in case... something that holds the pommels and keeps them from falling.

As long as the thing is well secured to the wall, gravity keeps the sabers hanging in there nice and tight - I don't think they're going anywhere. The rubber on the wheel and stopper grips the poly blades perfectly, and lifting the saber a bit is all it takes to release it. It's like the thing was designed just for us! Osmathae kindly found the product on the Wal-Mart web site, but it looks like you can't order it online. There's an option to check store availability though: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stay-Organized-Organizer-1ct/15723894Thanks Osmathae! Next time you see him post, give him a point just because

My local Wally World has those. I may have to get some, instead of just leaning my sabers against the wall....

I just mean if someone brushes against the sabers or knocks them or something... I tend to be very cautious about such things.

ed, I think you've got a good point though. All it takes is the slightest lift to unsecure the saber from the unit, exactly as much pressure as you use to lift the saber, so a good bump could send them tumbling. I've got a border collie pup that attacks my lab and he can get pretty rambunctious. I installed the thing pretty high on the wall, and there's a low shelf beneath it so it shouldn't get knocked about. The Sith Apprentice can easily reach hers to take it down and put it away. Maybe the glass underneath them isn't such a good idea though, lol
