Pretty interesting idea.  Reading your opinions on this was interesting.  Now I'm sure everyone here has their own opinions on what each blade color actually symbolizes but I think you put your point across quite well.

Really the only BIG difference in opinion I have with your review of colors is green.

Quinlon Vos http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quinlan_Vos was anything but at peace with himself for the Clone Wars and he weilded a green saber.

And when Luke made his lightsaber (after losing his father's to Vader) his new one was green.  And there was more then one time afterwards that Luke dabbled in some darker aspects of the force or lost his nerve.

Good examples!  Vos was definitely one of the more... unstable Jedi lol

"Cody: "You seem troubled."
Obi-Wan: "Well, Quinlan Vos has that effect."
Cody: "Ah, yes. That Jedi has quite a reputation."
Obi-Wan: "You may be overstating it, Cody. Let's just say he's… crazy."

Keep in mind though that both Quinlan Vos and Luke switched to the more stereotypical red lightsabers when in the throes of the dark side.

quilan vos is a character that George Lucas himself, specifically asked comic book artists to "not kill off".  i feel like GL has something planned for that character in the live action tv series. ..

I could see it.

There was a deleted animatic of Vos being taken out on Kashyyk during order 66 but was omitted from the film.

I could see Vos being a Jedi in hiding I would call him a Sentinel the same as Plo Koon.

NOt sure if anyone else remembers but there is a comic (It was one of the star wars legacy things) where Han Solo as a teen is at a Sarlacc pit because he won a map from a trader that said there was a valuable green jewel there.  Through a series of events he runs into Vos, who reveals the the 'jewel' is his lightsaber.  Of course Vos wipes his memory afterward t keep Han and himself safe but this was actually made before the Clone Wars grpahic novels were finished.  So I doubt we have to worry about our favorite gray jedi biting the dust anytime soon.

Back on target and yet totally off at the same time. I kind of think DC hit the nail on the head at least with green in GL....WILLPOWER! A Consular relies more on the force (generally speaking), thus they would need more willpower/concentration. Also green is new life, new beginnings, all sorts of other great things like that. But does that mean that yellow is fear??? Oh well, I've always liked yellow anyway (no Kham did not convert me, simply reminded me of a better time when yellow ruled the world lol)

You are Fate's Enforcer, Judge and Executioner.  Whatever the cost, Whatever it takes, your enemy cannot hide from you or your crusade.

I like this. I really like this. Just something about it makes me want to get a Silver lightsaber

He Was, I was just using him as another Sentinel.

Vos was in TPM as an extra that was later made into a bigger character using EU.

At one point during his "Evil" time, he used an Orange saber.

Since this is thoughts for colors, thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. Arctic Blue seems like a color an arctic Jedi would use as if he or she lived on an ice planet or even on Hoth. Just a thought though.

If I lived on an arctic planet, I would use silver.

Anyways.... I associate 'colder' blue with cool, calm, calculating professionalism.

Just like a tarot card or the force there is a dark and a ligth side, colors of the sabers in my  mind denote ones inner essence then combined with how one uses the force creates the meaning.

Say a sith takes Guardian blue, well in my eyes he or she is more of a evil with a strict code of ethics for example.

These are my interpretations Smiley  I tried to use words that could be applied to whatever side of the force you are on.

Blazing Red: Action, desire to accomplish, doesn't like to sit by and wait, needs to be in control of own path

Guardian Blue: Reaction, willingness to wait, but will take up aggressive action when needed or presented with obstacles

Sentinel Yellow: Agitation (not in the bad way), constantly looking for options, eyes always alert, analyzing every situation

Consular Green: Passiveness, flows with the world and events, sees events as destiny and almost unchangeable

Violet Amethyst: confidence, shares traits of guardian blue, but also has aura of command/willingness to take command

Fire Orange: spontaneity, shares traits of sentinel yellow, but tends to be more "act before thinking"

Adegan Silver: purity, benevolence, always right, one way of thinking only, one path, focused

Sun Rider's Destiny: loyalty, shares traits of adgean silver and guardian blue, but tends to be a "medieval knight" type (takes up a cause and follows it)

Bane's Heart: passion, shares traits of blazing red and violet amethyst, but is more hard-headed and acts based on feelings and emotions

Before the prequels, I always viewed the colors in the following manner

Blue: Pure, selfless, strong

Red:  Corrupt, angry, dominance

Green:  Conflict, turmoil, vengeance

Of course, this changed drastically once more jedi were brought into the picture, and games expanded on lore, etc.

The reason behind my thoughts at the time was tied to who wielded the colors.

Blue - Obi-wan was a self-sacrificing mentor, the epitome of a selfless jedi who does what is needed.  Luke goes to Cloud City despite the danger to himself because he can't leave his friends.

Red - Vader is a fallen jedi, someone who was once good but let himself be corrupted.  He lashes out in anger when pushed by Luke in Empire, but typically portrays a collected domineering personage.

Green - Luke in Jedi flirts with the dark side.  He force chokes guards in Jabba's palace, he gives in to anger in order to defeat vader, he is full of pride and boasts to Jabba.  His feelings for his father put him in conflict, and he is no longer the innocent he was in the first two movies.  He sorts it out in the end, of course, but I think initially the green was an indicator that he was somewhere in between the good (blue) and bad (red).

Nowadays, I'd say:

Blue - Warrior
Green - Thinker
Purple - Light sider with dark side tendencies.  Conversely, dark sider with light side tendencies
Orange -  Brawler
Yellow - Healer
Red - Bad guy haha

Here's the funny thing I find about Arctic Blue - while it certainly has an icy look to it (very fitting name), it appears significantly "softer" than the harsh Guardian Blue.  This makes me think of a more passive, serene Jedi as opposed to an action-based one.

In other words, I associate Arctic Blue with someone like Obi-Wan while I think of Guardian Blue as something that Anakin would use.
