Didn't modify in time, but it's worth noting that my my SY is slightly more reddish than other people usually report - especially near the base. I like it though, it's like a rising sun. Your results may vary (obligatory forum color disclaimer).

Funny, mine gets a little green in the end... The filter effect on this photo (instagram) and the proximity to the blue saber has actually exaggerated it here, so you can see the green quite clearly.  I just nabbed this pic off of Facebook, lemme know if it isn't working (my privacy is wide-open, it should be fine  ). |

Wow just got my oranges and my there is a large difference. Between the two I really like Pyrestone more, but I'll be practicing Tai Chi forms with the Fire Orange. Kham is right it is more of a medatative orange. I will say this (to Kham's dismay) I will not be getting SY anytime soon.

Hey it's not for everyone but I'm glad you like your Oranges. Hmm, after looking at these photos I've noticed two things about my FO Phantom Initiate. 1. The blades are actually different colors, one is lighter than the other. 2. The color is much, much closer to BR than to what these pictures are showing me. Don't get me wrong, I love the color, but I've just noticed now that it's not right. Any ideas what could be doing that?

From what I've heard with the UEHG the PO can get a little washed out and pastel-ish. I've seen a few people say they prefer just a normal HG with PO. |

My staff is UEHG and they look fantastic. Clearly orange no pastel look. It will look great. |

Excellent! I guess either way, it looks like most people prefer the PO to the FO It all depends on what you want in an orange. Both are excellent colours. IMHO FO is more like a candle flame, where as PO is like a blazing fire. If you want a deeper orange go with PO. FO looks yellow in brighter light, but gets a nice orange once things get dimmer. PO looks orange all day and night. |

Not really, but you can add such a tinge with Lee filters. |

It wont be lime BUT, Because the color is not perfected there are three differences. Sometimes it will have more green in it or more orange in it, or sometimes it's a consistent color throughout. IDK what it is maybe it just me but all my sabers including my wifes are all consistent; not one of them is more green or more orange towards the tip of the blade. At some point My wife's was more orange but I late found out that my batteries weren't holding a charge for very long; I used to leave them in. |
