Let's start off by saying wow... This hilt is AMAZING. This is my first Obsidian saber and I am loving it. I can't walk by it without igniting it and giving it a few quick spins. It's so awesome that even my girlfriend admits she loves it! I'll break this down into categories as most people do. Here we go! The hilt: The hilt is perfect! It balances out about a half inch past the tip of the emitter with a heavy grade blade. The finish on it it great. Very few imperfections (mainly just a few scratches on the pommel). I love the anodized black on it. It is perfectly distributed throughout the hilt. The AV switch is great as well. It is very low profile compared to the standard switch. Very non intrusive while wielding. It is great for both one and two handed wielding. Single handed, the neck is the perfect choke point. Two handed, the ridges provide a great amount of grip. A huge bonus is the MLS compatibility which allows plenty of customization opportunities. Hilt Score: 10/10    Color: For this saber, I chose VA. I have been wanting a purple saber for a while now. I was having a tough time deciding between DVA and VA. After doing some research I chose the VA due to it being more of a true purple. It is not as bright as my Guardian Blue and maybe a bit less bright than my Sun Riders Destiny, as it dims out a bit towards the last 6 or 7 inches of the blade, but that does not take away from how amazing this color is. It is now definitely my preferred choice in color. Color Score: 9/10 just for not being as bright as my others  Lights On  Lights off  And goofing around while my girlfriend took some pictures  |

Nice! I like the Archon, and I think it looks great in VA!
I also noticed that dimming thing on my SI. I have to say it's the only problem I have with the color, though I noticed the Ultra Edge blades seem to help lessen it somewhat.

I love purple on the Archon v2s! I would recommend ultra edge mid grade blades, they help with the color/ brightness a lot! still, great choice  Im jealous. |

Cool saber man! Looks so great in purple, you don't see too many Luke ROTJ style hilts in that color, but I love it.

Yes it truly is! Nice! I like the Archon, and I think it looks great in VA!

Yeah I bet the UE would help a bit. I have a UE mid grade but I haven't tried it yet. I like the standard blades look better though I love purple on the Archon v2s! I gotta say that after giving it some thought for a while your pics lead me to place an order for an identical saber but in DVA. Like you said, it's been done before, but I have some customization plans for it that I think would benefit from a more "evil" looking color.
That being said, yours is still a sick looking saber, and thanks again for posting the pics and helping me make up my mind in the process.

I have ordered 2 staffs but I never use them as a staff, and this one. So You can either say I have 5 or 3 lol I gotta say that after giving it some thought for a while your pics lead me to place an order for an identical saber but in DVA.
