Finally had some time to work on this project the last few days(been raining & cold) I was looking around for a suitable material for chassis discs, I thought 1/4" polycarb would be good, but didnt order any (maybe next project) lexan is to brittle, sooo I "borrowed" one of my wifes nylon cutting board , took the hole saw & cut out 3 discs, which then were filed & sanded to the correct diameter 2 of the discs are for battery holders & generally rail/frame construction, I'm also using 4-40 threaded stand-off's for connectors with allen head screws to create the correct clearances I also wired in 2 more sets of leds, I needed an accent somewhere to fire up after pulling the kill key, I used a very small clear glass crystal, made a round tube of brass mesh (soldered) & installed a purple 5mm led into it with some black heat shrink, it got mounted next to the main crystal & I'm calling it "the ignition control crystal" from there I also wnated the main chamber to be able to change colors & match the main blade color on each font & also to flash on lock up/blaster blocks, this is a 5mm RGB 4 wire that ties into the color mixing board to sink with the blade still working out the chassis puzzle & getting close to wiring the board, I have all of 2/10ths clearance for overall internal length to the point that the front chassis disc has a slot just for removing the sd card (you unscrew the hilt & pull it back 1") here is the board with add on board mounted under it, getting close

Your builds never fail to amaze me! What dimentions of Aluminum did you use for the body of the Starkiller? and where do you get it?

These are all MHS parts from TCSS, the hilt is a 7" double female, a 4" ribbed v-grooved extension, the same blade holder I've been using on my katana's (style #1) & a blank pommel long style, I also ordered a 12" of shroud material, the rest of the metal was found on ebay, & a few nick-knack pieces from my garage, I sourced the speaker from JQ & the metal rail discs are all TCSS as is the graflex eye & pins. Thanks guys! I'm itching to get wiring on the board (this is where patience must prevail (dont need it to blow my hand off after ignition if the parts didnt combine on a molecular level ( I hope my force meditations worked!!!

Thanks again guys! Very little cram-fu was needed. I planned on getting a new camera soon, got a good excuse now.. I still have to set-up another sd card, I have bunch of fonts for this board I found online including a version of the TFU video-game sounds and a couple of silly ones (including jay & silent bob's bong saber with mark hamil quotes for boot up) I'll get a vid up soon showing the different blaster & lock -up effects (you could spend easily a few hours tweaking all the different paramters for the 9 font slots, this seems much easier to do than setting a card for a PC1.6, I'm stalled on my copper katana , due to my lack of computer skills, in the meantime I'll play with this one & work on some more summer hunny-do's
