Ah, good question!  We'll have to see... I'm not really sure if there's as much information on it.  Still, it's worth a try!

I'm glad you guys all like it, because I really do too.  I am looking forward to using it more, I'll have to get the gf to do a bit of dueling tomorrow night.  I was thinking of making a Makashi video or two anyway, so it'll surely come in handy.

Nero where did you find the emitter and what exactly were the specs?  I tried googling for them as I am looking for various reds (You know my desire for a ruby saber)  but have yet to find any.

In Legacy they never really say what Darth Cadeus's lightsaber looks like......from what I gathered in the story it mentions he was building one from scratch....pls correct me if I am wrong......I wish there could have been more details on it...would have loved to have had a mental picture of it....

Sorry, I don't quite understand your question.  Did you mean the emitter for my Prophecy?  Because that one doesn't have a removable emitter.  As for different reds, there are Deep Red LEDs such as LEDengine and Lux Rebel Star... I'll let you know if that comes out ruby when I get it!

Agreed, I haven't read up to that yet but I do find they give rather little detail on most hilts.  Heck, the only thing I could go off with this one was cover illustrations!

Yeah sadly the Lux V models aren't in production any longer, unless I'm mistaken.  I'll look around and see if I can find any sources, and PM you if I find something.

Seriously though, for that ruby color you might want to look into the Deep Red LED.  They have them at TCSS, and from what I've seen they appear to be less orange-tinted (which strikes me as more "ruby").

Master Nero be WARNED.....The Legacy series was like Crack....Very addicted and you just want MORE....I had jumped in at Sacrifice and was hooked from that point on.....the decent of Jacen Solo was just mind boggling and to see how powerful Luke Skywalker has become as the Grand Master ....WOW!  I need to sit down and start at book one and re read these.....The only other series that held my attention this much was the Darth Bane books......

I hate to double post, but I just love this hilt so much I have to...

I was looking up the color Emerald on Wikipedia, and I found a pic of an Emerald stone that just matched this blade color perfectly:



I just figured I'd share it to both verify my claims that this is a true Emerald Green and give you a better idea of the color (since we all know cameras aren't a good judge of these things).

Funny how I prefer an Ultraedge blade on it too... typically I love the regular midgrades, but the UE just gives it such a perfect greenish hue that I can't use anything else.

That's freakin' awesome, Nero! You have no idea how jealous I am! Hopefully someday I can get an Obsidian saber with a more green SRD.

Yup I agree , Its an awsome color! So much so I have The led coming for my Overlord! This was an excellent find Nero, I cant wait to see the color in person.

I've been eyeing the Prophecy as a stunt saber. My Overlord and Shock are very much my showy, take to events sabers, but so far it's my Liberator I use for serious freestyle and dueling. I think it's a combination of classical fencing training and only being 5'4", but the larger sabers don't feel right in my hands for true fighting. Your Makashi video made me curious...does it make a good fencing hilt? As much as I love my Obsidian, two hours of the hum does get to me not to mention the batteries. And since none of the people I spar with have it, it seems a little show off too. I almost bought a second Libby, but it would be fun to have a new hilt. I am concerned, though, that like the Overlord and Shock, the Prophecy will join the "play" collection instead of the "work" collection.

My personal opinion of this hilt is that it makes a very nice balance between elegance and functionality.  IMO it's pretty enough to display, but in terms of balance and size makes a VERY useful dueling hilt.  In fact, apart from the color that's the reason I love this thing so much - it's relatively short (11"), lightweight, and slim enough to match my Initiate V3 for Makashi style dueling.  I think you'd really like it!

It looks very, very nice.  My first Ultrasaber is going to be Dark Prophecy with SRD.  I'm also going to add either a green or a blue color disk to increase effect.  Hopefully it looks as good as this one!

Prophecy/Dark Prophecy seems to be a perfectly balanced saber, combined With Emerald green it looks perfect
