Part of me wants a 1911; mainly for the fact that it's a classic. But it's not one of my faves due to certain design aspects.

More classics on my wish list:

Walther PPK
Mauser C96
Colt 1873 .45 Revolver (aka Peacemaker) Cavalry model
Luger P08
Walther P38

I've handled (but never fired) a PPK. Like the 1911, there are some design aspects that would not make it my first choice of pistol. But I still want one.

3) John Wayne (whose real name is Marion Morrison) in the film True Grit
4) There are many films with the P-08 in I just chose the Indiana Jones franchise where there are many used. I think there were a couple in the film Shaft in Africa too (including one fitted with a suppressor).
5) Megatron was disguised (by the Ark) as a Walther P-38 in Transformers (G1)

Jyn Erso wasn't in the worst dsw movie at all... I was miffed by some decisions in the writing but from a movie derived from one sentence in another movie... I wish the rest was at the same level.

I love Lupin. I had a pair of mice, in college: Lupin & Fujiko. Sadly Lupin didn't last a week, but Fujiko lived to a ripe old age.

I said it before, the thing I think made R1 the best of the worst (and subsequently Andor) is that they had to keep in line with rules established by ANH. And blasters made from real guns was one of those rules. (Plus the fact that the real guns meant that the props could fire blanks, so recoil was authentic. ) Jyn's blaster was a beauty. But then they had to establish this bastardization of pretty much any hand blaster can have crap slapped on and now it's a high power sniper rifle. But what do you expect from a company that writes that anyone can use the Force if they believe hard enough?

And Sabine had to get drawn into it in Ahsucka, but that was also F-up Filoni pandering to Wreck-It Kennedy.
And MaRey Sue being the bestest Force user everer with absolutely 0% training.

It's not overly abundant, but it is written by people who don't understand SW and don't want to.

Well we're going off topic here but, chirut was just lucky afaic, he might be force sensitive but he's mainly trained in combat, the rest is faith and luck. Sabine was in it since rebels albeit not that good and still isn't. Marey sue was garbagely written for sure.

Looked up your Ruger. The Tandemkross version looks like a damn paintball marker.

I wouldn't mind having a Mark II or III for a target pistol.

Ahah I kinda like the futuristic look. The IV is easier to take apart. I'd like at least one tacticool gun that could easily get a red dot/sound moderator since none of my guns can so far x)

I think 'tactical' is relative. For me, tactical (in a pistol) is:

- Full size for maximum comfort (I have long hands, so a thick grip gives me better control)
- Full size for increased mass = recoil absorbtion
- Full size for maximum ammo capacity (as stated, my Girsan has 18rd mags. But I know a place that was running a package deal for 10x 30rd mags. I call it "The Last Stand Bundle"  )

Now for home defense I think it's a different story. To me the tactical weapon choice would be a Remington 870 TAC-14 short-barrel shotgun.

Although it does lack ammo capacity, I think the sheer intimidation factor of the sound of it being racked would be enough to make most would-be home invaders seriously reconsider their poor life choices.
