So, the dual wield thread  and Arkanus & Ch3m15t have inspired me to work on dual wield spinning.  I'm working on smoothly transitioning from dual orbits standard grip to dual orbits reverse grip to a couple of Escrima heaven six patterns. And working on footwork too.  Any tips would be appreciated.  I'm using Initiates so I only smacked my legs a couple of times when trying to take angles.

Dude for your first vid (that i've seen anyway) its showing good potential. All i can say is practice and practice. Do single handed moves with your dominant hand, and with your weaker hand twice as much. I had to do alot to get my other arm up to scratch stamina and co-ordination. now i'd still right handed but i'm confinent with my left to pull off alot of stuff. I have had to use left handed in a few choreographed duels with my pals who are lefties.  anyway i digress. i'll link you to some awesome duel wielding tutorials on youtube. I'd make some vids but i'm not sure how good my mic is on the shellty camera anyway.  I'm working on some awesome duel move atm. both reverse grip doing downward 8's and 3beats (windmill) and reverse upward 8s. haven't figured out have to do the upwards windmill with reverse grip yet. all the other moves are pointless i just tried to do it for the complexity of it. I have to bend and contort my arms and body awkwardly in duel reverse. Figured out a few more single and duel wielding moves for turning on the spot and switching to more directions. my next video should bo ok :-P

I would recommend looking up Eskrima, which is a Philippine double baton/stick fighting.

I found this guys videos useful. If your after learning flourishes and spins for single and duel sabers and staff. It seems to be the most comprehensive collection of tutorials on youtube. It helped me alot learning to windmill and learning other moves i was unaware of and general tips that improves some moves i'd already learned.  now i feel like i need to make some video tutorials of moves he hasn't posted for. but as a collection its quite good. and he tends slow some of the moves down so you can see without camera blur.  Like in the Eskrima video, dunno if its the quality of the camera, or my processing power, or monitor but i can't see half of the stick movements.

OK, so i've been giving this a lot of thought, and I also want to add a spiritual element to the name, so there would be a full, "Classical" version of the name, and then several ways to "shorthand" it.

I've come up with the following;

Ryuujin no Kenshiko (Saber Tooth of the Dragon King)

Ryuujin no Koji (Tigercub of the Dragon King)

There are a number of ways to short hand the character's name; "Ryuujin", "Kenshiko", "Koji" (depending on the version chosen)

Thoughts?

Finally figured out how to do this really difficult and equally pointless spinning moves with Dual Reverse Grip. Only just picked it up so i'm amazingly smooth with it.... yet.

anyways. It is a little bit ridiculous. but i ran out of tutorials to pick up moves from on youtube.  So i've tried to make up some new moves. Or make variation of other moves or poi moves.  I've developed a few more moves that i haven't seen anywhere online yet. I'll keep you all posted   and thank you venturous. your youtube tutorials started me off with duel wielding...  if its the same venturous that is...

Yeah I'm the same one. I'm glad the tutorials have helped you some. I never did know a lot of flourish moves with dual sabers and never really bothered to make up my own, considering I'm more into a staff anyway. It's good to see innovation though in the saber-wielding techniques. Keep it up.
