AHHH! I LOVE IT!

I was expecting some super girly J-pop song after looking at the video image. Then I hit 'play' and was immediately floored. Then I began to think, "Hmm, Rel knows me very well...". Then the vocals kicked in and I was like, "Um... what the- Shocked" Even for me, that was bizarre. lol. But it's great! Very catchy... and utterly mental. I greatly enjoy contrasts in music, and I do respect the musicians that are bold enough to experiment, so yeah, this is right up my alley Smiley And it's Japanese, so that helps a ton.

Thanks for sharing! I appreciate it Smiley

Wow.

While I admire the creativity that went into this song (and a LOT of creativity is needed to do a song that fuses Japanese language with heavy metal) as well as the overall quality, I think the fusion of two normally disparate styles assaulted my eardrums. I feel like I need an auditory palate cleanser after that. Still it was a nice piece of music.

Honestly, I can't really say whether or not I liked it on the whole.

I disagree. It's no different than fusing the english language with heavy metal, or any other language for that matter. Though I could definitely see issues arising from Italian, French, and other romantic languages being used in conjunction with metal. But Japanese...?

Speaking of Italy and romance, I was going to post this wonderful piece of music...

Any language can be used effectively, including romance languages. It's more difficult, but it can be done.

Additionally, all accents, if used properly, can be very pleasant.

not quite as good as a mix recommended to me by a fellow forum member... the avatar theme and TPM obiwan/ qui gon/ darth maul fight. that was almost seamless! sure, the particular clip of avatar music used was 3mins 30 while TPM clip is over 5mins, but for the first 3 and half minutes its a great match Tongue
