Can you elaborate on what you didn't like about it? The humour? The story? The fighting? The effects?
Hmm, maybe. I would have a thought the movie would already be enjoyable for someone his age. But, that just goes to show what an under-appreciated movie it is and why it is a cult classic rather than the bpx office hit it deserved to be.
The plot didn't interest me much, neither did the characters. I didn't care for the action. The video game elements didn't appeal to me, the impossibility of it all kinda bugged me. Before you say "says the guy who loves superheroes", I know. But even they don't get consistently thrown through walls with no effect. I watched it simply because I'd heard so highly of it from y'all. So I guess I had high expectations and also thought it would be funny. I think I smiled once. IMO the Avengers was funnier. |

Early '80s VH was pretty good about sticking to the original spirit of the covers they did. I always loved Big Bad Bill is Sweet William Now off of Diver Down.
