I am such a jerk.  But when you post in the wrong sub forum AND you misspell the name of your "favorite" character, that's what you get.  Oh, and when it's a topic that's already been started multiple times.  Yeah.

I thought about it, but I figured I was being rude enough to simply post the links without another word.  If he had at least put it in the right forum I probably would have mentioned using the search function.

I always re-read my posts after I post them to see if I miss typed anything, especially things that autocorrect wouldn't catch, like typing "form" instead of "from."  It pisses me off to no end when I catch a typo that I cannot correct because it's been over an hour.  Probably just me, but I re-read what I typed at least twice usually to make sure everything is correct.

So, I accept the autocorrect reason, but that's no excuse for not proofreading.

I do the same thing for the same reasons, especially if I'm inserting links, pictures, changing the font, etc.

Even proofreading is no guarantee...many times I catch something I know I should have caught..I finally figured out why I would miss it.   I would correct it in my head and not realize it was wrong till later.  Plus, when it comes to posting on forums. most people post and then go on to something else.

I do this too. Like Landen said, especially with pictures/links. Normally I'll preview the post and skim it again after I hit post.

That, and you really don't want to be in bad enough condition to be put to the front of the line... You may be sick or injured, but be greatful you're alive and not as bad off as the guy that just got rushed in ahead of you on a stretcher.  And if you still want to complain, then the words "we need to put a catheter in" should put such fear into you that you never speak out of turn again.


If who we are is revealed in difficult times, then I'm a three year old curled up in a corner whimpering.  It feels like someone stuck an ice pick into my tooth and then hit it with a aircraft carrier.  And so far, 1200 mg of ibuprofen is almost making a dent in it.
