Wow, Ive got skills myself..but the way the images look..theres something really refreshing and great about them. They looked like paintings with great detail but at the same time animated. Please finish your comic! Or atleast post some new ones! I would kill to have a personal one done with myself in some badass sith armor (not pictures because I dont have any lol).
These two are my favorite, with the first two tied in second.
Several things I tend to play around with: light interplay, like the mixing of light, reflections, refractions, etc.; notice my tendency to balance oranges with blues, or reds with greens. The rendering of loose cloth, since it's a nice, natural means to imply motion. And then, it can be hard to stop yourself from attempting to detail everything instead of simply letting the eye interpret and fill in the details - essentially, some key principles of Impressionism. Nothing ever feels complete though, but after a while you just gotta say enough is enough.
Unfortunately I think my comic book days were over the day I got accepted into my school...school's been taking up a lot of time and I just don't have enough of it to commit to the project anymore. We'd planned out the first 30 issues, the majority of the main storyline, themes, and character developments, too...so it was very saddening to have to drop this. I might doodle or finish one of several incomplete projects once in a while.
Holy crap Tanq... These are epic!
Thanks man...hmmm...maybe I should make portraits for all the TPLA folks.
