Halloween will never be ignored, it's commercial success is second only to Christmas. It's Thanksgiving that's going away in favor of shopping sales and consumerism.
A local store set up their Halloween AND Christmas displays almost immediately after Back to School. The Christmas section was bigger, taking up a good 3/4 of the seasonal area. I fear that I see other signs of Halloween slowly falling by the wayside. Most of Facebook(at least the parts that I saw) were going on about Christmas, and how it's almost here, and blah blah. |

I hate how Black Friday sales keep starting earlier and earlier. Heck ,they start on Thanksgiving evening these days. I think Wal-Mart starts their sale at 6:00 pm on Thanksgiving this year. |

That is just WRONG. It must be easy to make decisions like that when YOU aren't the one who has to leave dinner early, or miss it completely, and don't get to enjoy a Holiday with your family, all because some fat cat at the top isn't happy with his millions/billions and wants more. Companies like that make me sick. I'm going to propose that we NOT post Christmas music until after Thanksgiving.
