The bloodier, the better!!! I dont remember it being a gore fest, but there is blood.
I don't even remember much blood, but definitely high on the violence. You just can't feel bad about seeing bad things happen to bad people. That's why I loved the Equalizer. |

I think we're at an age where unless it's excessive we don't notice the blood. Does that mean we are jaded or too accustomed to it? Maybe. But, as a lover of the horror genre, blood is good. On a separate note Logos, I assume you referring to the Equalizer movie and not the tv show. (I believe they are going into production on the sequel soon). And finally, I am currently listening to this classic gem:

Meh. To me, blood infers pain. I'm not about pain. Too empathetic. That's why I couldn't enjoy the Saw franchise. But quick, even bloody, death doesn't have the same effect. I actually laughed at the poor schmuck that went splat against the road sign in Deadpool. On a separate note Logos, I assume you referring to the Equalizer movie and not the tv show. Torture porn movies aren't good horror movies, but if they are done well they can be enjoyable to watch. But lots more to horror than movies like Saw (although the first one was good). I think I'm lucky that I can flick off the empathy switch in my brain when watching movies so I don't get bothered by the blood and pain. And everything in Deadpool was hilarious (violence, blood, fart jokes, baby hand). |

I thought that was called S&M. And no, gore ≠ horror. I started watching Alien the other night on BBCA. Even just seeing the damn ship had my heart rate elevated. The whole movie creeps me out in the best way, and I already know what's going to happen and when. Good horror movies are about keeping you on edge, not grossing you out. There was just something about the way everything happened in Deadpool. Not the least of which was that very moment... Just something there that made greatness and hillarity at every turn. Think it was the way Deadpool was always making light of the situation no matter what that situation was.
Too true. (I'm sitting here laughing while typing) And I've seen it almost a dozen times. Still funny. Even the opening credits had me laughing. I split all 4 times I went to the theatre to see. Alien is one of my favourite movies of all time. It is a timeless classic and deservedly so. A horror movie in space, what's not to love? I thought that was called S&M.
Add in a B & D then you have Secretary, which is brilliant (and is the movies 50 Shades wishes it was) Too true. (I'm sitting here laughing while typing) And I've seen it almost a dozen times.
