Once I get my monthly movie pass next Friday I shall be seeing at least 5 or 6 movies at the cinema next weekend and then at least one a day until I have caught up (which includes La La Land, Get Out, Lego Batman, John Wick 2 if it's still screening, Logan etc). No matter how I'm feeling after each movie, I shall power through, because that's what the hardcore faithful who love movies have to do!! More power to ya, then, Knox. Movies and lightsabers, my two favorite hobbies. I hope you get to catch them all. I'm hoping I can still get in to see La La Land before it leaves.

The last time I did four movies in one day was the summer of 96 (Fargo, the Rock, From Dusk til Dawn & Empire Records). Thanks to streaming I won't be too upset if I miss a couple cos I will see them once they are available online.

Spent the morning in bed watching Robin Hood, the one with Russell Crowe.

Any good? How does it compare to the Kevin Costner/Alan Rickman classic?

One a scale of 1 to 5, I'd give it a solid 3, 3.5. It looks nice, it's shot well, the actors give fine performances, and I certainly don't feel like I've wasted my time, but it's just not nearly as memorable as "Prince of Thieves." Like you said, it's a classic.

That'll be the Alan Rickman factor I may give it a watch eventually. Robin Hood is like The Three Musketeers. You can't help but watch each new incarnation even though yoiu already know the story inside and out

Guy Ritchie has a new King Arthur movie coming out soon, and I'm excited to see what he's done with it; even though I've heard countless Arthurian tales over and over again.

I don't know what to think about the new Arthur movie. I love Guy Ritchie but thought it a strange pick for his next movie (although he did do okay with Sherlock Holmes). It could be great or it could be an absolute flop. But I will give Guy the benefit of the doubt as I like the majority of his movies. And a new Arthurian movie is long overdue.

So, I am in the mood for something disaster based, starring someone heroic. That can mean only one thing: San Andreas.
Big disaster? Check Big hero? Check Estranged family dynamic? Check BIG CGI effects? Check
Will be the first time seeing it, so no spoilers please (although I expect entertaining things from the cast).

Good choice, Knox. I saw it and it does justice to the genre.
