Ugh...I understand about the ice, though for me it's mosquito bites should one get inflamed. I am probably mildly allergic to those bites to explain how big they get and how long they take to go away.

Well, I'm calling it "perfume," but it was actually an essential oil blend. I suspect it was a cheap blend and not actually as "pure" as it claims to be. It's not important to me that I figure out exactly what it is that got to me, though. I simply won't buy this brand again, as it's one I never tried before. Probably why it was on sale in the first place.  |

(Not really, but the image is hysterical.) Have an 800. Dammit, I'm trying to catch up to you in points, but you insist on making me laugh and give you more. Oh, I know what it was. It was obviously the stuff I used on all my pulse points. No big mystery there. I threw it in the trash.  The doctor did, in fact, give me a big shot of steroids and I feel MUCH better today. You can't even see the stuff on my wrists anymore and the rest is starting to fade. It doesn't itch anymore, either. Listen, sitting around with bags of frozen peas on various parts of your body just to cool off an itch SUCKS. I do not recommend it! Not sure if it would help, but have you tried aloe? |

This would have laughed at aloe. It laughed at EVERYTHING. You name it, I am sure I tried it. I'm not one to run to the doctor for something like this, especially when I know what it is and what caused it, but when it's on all your pulse points including beneath your arms? You'll tap out pretty damn fast for any kind of relief. You can't ice your neck because you need to ice your arm. You can't ice your arm because you need to ice your wrist. You can't ice your wrist because you need to ice the hollow of your throat. I actually poured ice into a tub of water and just laid there at one point. I wasn't laughing anymore by then. It was like psychological torture trying to calm down 10 small patches of VERY itchy skin at once.
Shots did the trick, though. It's about 80% gone. And I'm sticking to the sh*t I blend myself from now on because I know where it's sourced and I know what's in it. I would have taken a hammer to the bottle of the crap that caused it, but it might accidentally get on me somehow and then, I'd have to find the vendor and murder them with a spork.

Man, I feel that. I once got some very dangerous cysts from using standard deodorant, so I haven't used that mass market stuff since high school. I use rock salt and essential oil, which is how this happened in the first place because they didn't have the regular oil I use in stock. I tried this new stuff, thinking since it was the same oil made by a different company it would be fine. INCORRECT. I had frozen peas in my armpits for a week. It was NO JOKE. |

The person who posted that might not be a native English speaker. I haven't seen the post in question, but as someone who knows what it is like to speak a language that's not my own with the scrutiny of native speakers upon me, perhaps we should take a moment to remember how courageous it is to express oneself in a foreign language. (At least, I get nervous as hell. I don't know about anyone else...)
