thanks everyone! been training heavily with the spear lately. still getting use to the weight. DC, it almost ripped my shoulder off at the end there. That's why the video stops shortly after.

What length blade do you use? I usually put a 36" HG blade on mine, just to balance it out a little, but the thing ways so much as it is, a long HG blade just makes it even worse.

On a separate note. My " Solo " youtube channel is out for the count. When we went to Disney someone hacked in, changed everything, and then I had it shutdown. They said it will remain active for a year or so and then disappear. Sooo, the new youtube is called " Resolute's Film Corner "....soon to be changed, just a filler. The new account has a lot more security features this time around.

I figured I'd post this here, as the title seemed appropriate. I am issuing a new challenge to anyone who feels like trying it, called the hallway challenge. It's pretty simple: you can do anything you want with a saber, as long as you do it in a hallway. You can do it between two close trees if you happen to lack a hallway for any reason. The hallway should be no wider than your arms from finger tip to finger tip. Good luck!

Where am I gonna find an (approximately) 6 foot hallway?!! This sounds more like the walk in closet challenge. It's your challenge. Not trying to steal it. It's a good one. Combat techniques are supposed to be adapted according to conditions too. And what length of blade? 20 inches?  |

Good luck! I might just cut my blade down to 12 inches.  Seriously though, hitting the walls is obviously not desired, but is it a complete failure if you do? Or is dropping the saber? Do we get points for having a slimmer hallway? Obviously it's not a competition, just wanted to know the parameters. Seems like a good challenge for precision and awareness of you surroundings. |

I'd say there is no failure in this challenge. Consider it merely an exercise to work on keeping movements tighter. Obviously people will be doing it at different skill levels, so this one should be more easy-going. |
