I actually did when I had no idea. Which response are you looking for? There were a few:
- “I haven't the slightest idea.”
- "They both come with inky quills."
- “Poe wrote on both”
- “Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!”

You are in a room with 2 identical doors and 2 identical guards. One door leads to paradise, the other leads to death. The first guard will always answer truthfully, the other will always answer with a lie. You have no way of telling the doors or guards apart. You are allowed to ask ONE question to only ONE of the guards. What question should you ask to find out which door leads to paradise?

You ask the first guard what the second guard would say the first one is. Then just pray you can keep up with the answer.

There's actually a historical significance to this riddle. I don't know perfect details but the story goes something like this: In the middle ages, there was a man convicted and brought before the king. The king offered to him a proposition offered to all who came before him to be tried. The convicted man could tell the king a riddle. If the riddle could be solved, the man would be put to death. If it could not be solved, the man would go free. If the man offered no riddle, he would be sent to prison for life. The king was a very wise king and had never before failed at solving a riddle. The riddle given was the same as I have given you. Not the king, nor any of his wise men or wizards, could solve the riddle. "And blind man sees apples on a tree. He picks no apples and leaves no apples. How can this be?" The man who offered the riddle was the only man to ever go free before this king.

I Googled it, and it only half makes sense.

It does kind of stretch the limits of riddles a little bit, I'll acknowledge that.

I say you stumped us. Reveal the answer or not, just give us another riddle.

THE RIDDLE:
A blind man sees apples on a tree. He picks no apples and leaves no apples. How can this be?
THE ANSWER:
The entire riddle pushes technicalities of the English language. First, the blind man is only blind in one eye. He can still see out of his good eye but is technically blind because of his one bad eye. The second part of the riddle is playing with plurals. The blind man sees two apples on the tree. He only picks one apple, thus meaning that he did not in fact pick any apples but rather the singular apple. Similarly, only leaving behind one apple, the same technicality applies.


Tom was walking through the woods when he is surrounded by cannibals. They are going to eat him, but he gets to choose how he is to die. He is allowed to say one statement; if it is true, they will shoot him with a poisoned arrow; if it is false, they will hang him with vines. Tom says his statement and leaves the cannibals perplexed so much that they are forced to let him go. What did Tom say?

The answer: Tom told the cannibals that they would hang him from the vines.

I've always heard this riddle with the second line being, "He who buys it doesn't want it." Either way, I think I've got the answer.

I'd say we're both right.

The service provider has all it wants, so therefore no 'need'
The parent is the one buying it, but not for their phone
And you can't see or feel a radio wave.

Alright, that means it's my riddle. Similar concept to the last one, but a bit different.

Tom is walking through the woods. He comes to a fork in the road. Tom knows that up each path there is a village. One village is made up of friendly villagers who always tell the truth. The other village is made up of cannibalistic villagers who always lie and will eat Tom if he sets foot into their village. There is no means for Tom to know which path leads to which village, but must choose one to continue along. Along the way, he meets a villager, though Tom cannot tell if the villager is friendly or cannibalistic. What single question must Tom ask to determine if it is safe for him to continue along the path? The villager does not necessarily live in the village up the path.

P.S. Bonus Force Point to the person who tells me why the character in all my riddles is Tom.

Back, sorry! I've been busier than usual lately, Logos; relax! I'm still here.

Not so much of a single answer to this one, but I'm running out of riddles. This is one that I usually tell around the campfire, so it demands group participation. There is a secret rule. To solve the riddle, you have to figure out the rule.

I'm going on vacation and I'm bringing some rope.


You say that phrase and then guess what you can bring. I'll give some correct and incorrect examples. Logos, you could bring a diving suit. DragonPearl, you could bring a knife.

On the other hand, Logos couldn't bring any water and DragonPearl can't bring luggage.

The point of the riddle is to determine the rule. You figure the rule out by suggesting what you can or can't bring on vacation.

From what you're suggesting, "I" is going scuba diving. You can bring rope, for what ever reason. Diving knife and wetsuit are standard equipment. Water isn't needed due to the aqueous atmosphere. Luggage would way you down. And a map would get wet. (Although you could put a water tight laminate over it.)

So I know we're a bit past it, but I'm going to post the answer to my riddle about a camping trip. You could bring anything that started with the same letter as your name. I tried to be a bit more obscure by addressing people by names like Logos and Nox rather than Darth Logos or Jedi Nox. That would have made it a bit too easy, I thought. So Darth Logos could bring a diving suit, a driver's license, things like that. Hope this at least appeases everyone for an answer.
