There's actually a historical significance to this riddle. I don't know perfect details but the story goes something like this: In the middle ages, there was a man convicted and brought before the king. The king offered to him a proposition offered to all who came before him to be tried. The convicted man could tell the king a riddle. If the riddle could be solved, the man would be put to death. If it could not be solved, the man would go free. If the man offered no riddle, he would be sent to prison for life. The king was a very wise king and had never before failed at solving a riddle. The riddle given was the same as I have given you. Not the king, nor any of his wise men or wizards, could solve the riddle. "And blind man sees apples on a tree. He picks no apples and leaves no apples. How can this be?" The man who offered the riddle was the only man to ever go free before this king.

THE RIDDLE:
A blind man sees apples on a tree. He picks no apples and leaves no apples. How can this be?
THE ANSWER:
The entire riddle pushes technicalities of the English language. First, the blind man is only blind in one eye. He can still see out of his good eye but is technically blind because of his one bad eye. The second part of the riddle is playing with plurals. The blind man sees two apples on the tree. He only picks one apple, thus meaning that he did not in fact pick any apples but rather the singular apple. Similarly, only leaving behind one apple, the same technicality applies.


Tom was walking through the woods when he is surrounded by cannibals. They are going to eat him, but he gets to choose how he is to die. He is allowed to say one statement; if it is true, they will shoot him with a poisoned arrow; if it is false, they will hang him with vines. Tom says his statement and leaves the cannibals perplexed so much that they are forced to let him go. What did Tom say?

I'd say we're both right.

The service provider has all it wants, so therefore no 'need'
The parent is the one buying it, but not for their phone
And you can't see or feel a radio wave.
