Because I'm just WAYYY impatient and too excited about this whole thing, I'm making this thread so that everyone can share their specs, pre-order status,  and share their 3 - bladed beauties when they come in. I know one member has already received a Flamberge as a raffle prize and those pics are more than welcome in this thread!

I would seriously love one. If I were to get one all three blades would be Blazing Red, Obsidian sound silver flash, in hilt re charge, 36 inch main, 8 inch cross guard blades, and all black hilt finish, covertech wheel of course. This saber is too expensive for me though even with regular Obsidian set up. u.u

I would of course order one right away, maybe even completely without sound for the time being and have that added later by US, but there are a few upcoming expenses for "stuff" that have a higher priority at the moment than sabers do. ^^"

PS: Just checked for shipping to my location (didn't do that before)...and no...sadly can't afford that right now.
The shipping costs to Europe (Germany) would kill me. xD

Hey I feel you guys on the cost. Mine was actually a birthday gift, and several family members chipped in to make my fantasy come true lol.

That nickel plating will look really nice!

I know. I already got it on my Menace CE. I really wish it was an actual finish for the Mantis "CE". I would actually love it the Matis CE was like the colored versions, where the nickel was the primary color and the silver was the accent or underlay.

Yeah I agree with you on that one! I kinda regret cheaping out on my Flamberge and not getting the CE or the Non illum AV switch :P

Do you guys think US would be willing to make changes to my order?

It looks like other people in this thread have been able to do so.  Email [email protected] and ask.  I can pretty much guarantee that if it's possible for them to do, they'll do it.  They're really good about that sort of thing.

I was going to give you a way to do so, but when I went to check my order it didn't give me the option to change anything because it said "This order has already shipped or has reached the final stages of processing. Therefore this order is no longer editable"

 Bad luck there i'm afraid, it's said that on mine since day one, i found out while trying to hook up my printer to print off the receipt. Either way, should be in our homes within a couple of weeks now, honestly just looking forward to hearing that obsidian fire up alongside the emerald, first-timer on both cards for me!

Once figured out, you will love the pulse and FoC functions of the Emerald driver. As for the sound board, it always sounds good, with or w/o the Emerald.
I would have gone that route, but the E-B couldn't handle all 3 LEDs, so I opted for just canon colors.

 Mhm, i'm looking forward to it, i set it with the side blades as channel 4 so i could get them to flicker along with the main (i hope), but honestly it's the obsidian i'm looking forward to most. I keep playing with the sound files even before the saber is here, having fun making something that sounds like three blades.

The speakers are factory stock, loud. The first time you thumb that baby on and hear that "snap-hiss" sound byte and know it's in your hand. UH. It's almost better than {insert adult activity here}

I feel I should chime in. Mine is going to be AS with color discs so I have versatility in allegiance. But at this point the wait is killing me.

An initiate i bought for my younger brother came in AS, and actually we found it looked great just by itself, so you might find you don't use the colour discs all that much  ;D

 Out of interest, what other options have you picked for yours? We've got a lot of LE and high polish hilts at the moment  ::)

I reccommend getting extra disk packets in order to get better colors.

 I will end up detailing myself for a kind of battle worn LE finish since there were no official pix of what it would look like and I'll probably have a friend make a pommel that's more like the one in the trailer and I'm going to play with all three blade lengths so it's more like a great saber. But I'm definitely having red blades since I'm in the process of making Kylo Rens costume.

  I'm making myself a costume too, but i'm going for a more TOR era look, metallic paints and dirtbike armour really works wonders!

I saw some epic looking knee pads on Amazon.

I don't know about elsewhere, but there's a couple of companies here (UK) that make some lightweight armour for HEMA sparring, you can get some pretty cool leg armour from them. Amazon is where i got my upper body armour, i was originally going to add a chest plate, but to be truthful it looks just fine without it. I can't link to the advert here of course, but if you search dirtbike armour and look for the one in all black with a segmented back, you're looking at it!

I'm afraid i did it the other way around, i have a direct debit to my savings account for my wedding, and then what's left after bills is for frivolity :P Paid overtime is the king of saber splurge fuel  ::)

Yes and no, I'd already ordered it before the tattoo was booked, but it means no chance of either one of us feeling hard done by  ;D

Even if she's not terribly into sabers, it pleases me greatly to see her happy, especially as i know something like that lasts indefinitely!

Calm yourself. All work and no play makes Plagueis a dull boy. You can still play after Spring Break. However, the opportunities to lure fly nerd honnies back to your lair will be severely diminished.

You do know that Yaris come with the option to include a 16" pike blade, right?

yeah, its going on top, with the 8 inch blades for the guard and an 8 inch blade on the initiate at the bottom

I hope US offers the emitter separately. I want to combine 4 or 5 for a hedge trimmer saber sooo bad. ;D

I ordered a fully loaded flamberge yesterday. I've bought 7 sabers in the last 2 months but I can't wait for this new sabre. Please tell me they will ship soon. By the way this is my first post. I know this sounds stupid but I've been called yobob for ever. As a person with many physical injuries I  can swing a mean sabre

All I know is that I enjoy buying and since I'm sorta inventor I like making them cooler  .but I did order the crossguard I am excited but so is every one that pre ordered one. In truth I've never joined any forum at all. So please forgive me if I don't follow protocol

Seeing as how it says in huge bold print "end of Winter 2015/start of Spring 2015" which very specifically is the end of March/start of April this applies to everyone's order.  I know customers place REGULAR orders with the "other companies" and wait far far longer than this.  I think you guys are a bit spoiled when it comes to our lead time.  But honestly, keep your pants on, we have a LOT of sabers to make and we will get it done in the time frame we promised in the listing.

In light of a new soundboard appearing, it could possibly be a factor in the perceived delay. Truthfully i'd rather wait a few weeks longer than i'd expected but have the cool new hardware than get it now and it be obsolete next week  ;D

New soundboard?  Color me intrigued, but also uninformed.  Can someplace elaborate?

There's a new obsidian version just arrived, available for beta testing at the moment, my guess is that US wanted to make that available BEFORE they started sending out all these shiny new hilts, so people are still able to get them along with their preorder.

 this is just my thoughts on the matter, so don't take it as gospel.

 If you have a look at unread posts you'll see a couple of new announcements about obsidian, or go to the US youtube channel

well i jumped on that bandwagon, requesting to have the V3 soundboard upgraded to the V4, less than an hour later i get an email saying no problem, we will add it to your preorder

to qualify for the beta you need to be a forum member with at least 20 posts, order a saber with LI-ION setup and a buck-puck, and request to test the V4 Obsidian.  the difference is its a bigger, better, more powerful board (not sure if it is accually bigger in physical dimensions, but in data capacity it is much bigger) and can load multiple fonts.  i am really excited to assist in the testing of this new product, and cant wait to review both the flamberge and the V4 Obsidian

The more I see this thread the more I consider ordering this saber.

ugh, i know dude, i just bought an initiate and a coupler during the raffle. i now have an initiate ve/dominix v3 staff. i also won a dark prophecy, but i'll REALLY want more. if my gaming rig wasn't in DIRE need of a hardware upgrade, i would be buying more sabers right now.

I have a question. I got mine with a 4 ch Emerald driver and had channel 4 dedicated to the cross guard blades. Would I be able to make it so the cross guard leds stay off if I wanted only the main blade on?

I'm psyched now. I asked for the Obsidian V4 beta to be installed in my preorder. The email reply I got told me I could but I would have a labor upcharge because my flamberge is already assembled and waiting shipment. I passed on the beta, I'll just try to get another saber with that to try out.

I just read an article about a possible explanation of the crossguard lightsaber in the new Star Wars The Force Awakens.  The article references what must be a new novel titled Heir To The Jedi in which Luke Skywalker disassembles a lightsaber with three separate crystals.  Here's the link:

Unfortunately the article only showed a few paragraphs.  I'll have to get the book to read all the details.

So..somewhere on facebook is a 3d print of the actual cross guarded saber in the force awakens.. I must say, it looks alot like vaders, but modded..and obviously not as beautiful as Ultra's homage..  ;D

I caught your post on another thread. True dat, it is BF ugly, but if that's all you have to work with, work with it.

i would love if someone can give me some good customizations because sometimes the saber dont clash or i have to hit really hard
