I believe fire Orange is made from a single diode Amber LED.  Hence why it's considered one of the basic colors offered.

As far as I know, the premium colours are all made using the more expensive RGB LED units, rather than the cheaper single colour units used to get green, red and blue. You can also 'retune' them by swapping wires around to get purple, pink and so on.

Pyrestone Orange is made by mixing red and green, I believe.
Thanks guys

So do either FO or PO use filters?
My understanding is that one or more filters affects the brightness of blade?

Cheers

Neither uses filters, so far as I am aware. I've never had a filtered LED unit in any of my 'sabres, and I've had every colour apart from Banes Heart in either stunt or sound.

Hi Groovidad

Previous reply got swallowed up by Tapatalk. Try again.

I read on Forum that should nt mix Heavygrade versus Midgrade blades duelling each other.

I started with Heavygrade blade on my Dominix as I wanted as durable as possible.
I plan on sticking with UEHG/HG (depending on colour of Blade) for Low - Mid Level Hilts, so that I can use if I can persuade my friends to try some duelling.

I will probably go for UEMG/MG (depending on colour of Blade) for any High Level Preimum Hilts which will be more for display, cosplay and only light sparring.

Points for helpful advice.

Cheers

James

I don't believe I was clear(?). I USE the UE for combat and the MG for practice, spins and flourishes.  I never mix the 2 when sparring. Smiley

You're still not clear.  You didn't say anything about heavy grade.  Regular ultraedge and regular midgrade both have essentially the same weight and thickness, so why would it matter which you duel with or spin with?

Well, in comparison, UE has a thicker wall than MG.  hence, thicker wall, added weight and when using a 32" of each, I notice a difference in balance.  Of course neither are thicker than a HG.  Brother you may not notice the difference but, I do pending upon the hilt I use it in.

Things that make you go huh....  I hadn't noticed a difference but you're going to make me go look.
