Hey all, i have a friends saber here and it is not "igniting" properly, it keeps flashing and the sound is constantly the power on noise.

it also wont turn off unless i turn the batteries slightly to "the sweet spot" where it can turn off. else i have to remove the batteries to turn it off.

I have tried removing batteries however after reinserting them the saber acts the same.

It wont connect to my computer either. so i cant reset it, it wont connect to either the driver or the soundboard which is perplexing.

any help appreciated.

i will be testing with new batteries this week but that is all i can really do without sending it off.

Thanks
Aaron

Hey Aaron, what you're describing is a classic case of dead batteries.  First of all, make sure you are using the Li-Ion batteries supplied by Ultrasabers as store bought ones aren't nearly powerful enough to do the job.  Second make sure to charge them with the Ultrasabers supplied battery charger until the charger lights show a steady green color.  You should give them a good 6 hrs to charge but they might be ready sooner.

Dying batteries can cause erratic sound board issues and most definitely will effect the LED function.  You should ALWAYS have fully charged batteries before you hook the sound board or emerald driver to the computer, otherwise there could be writing errors to the boards causing them damage.
Fully charged batteries should fix this up for you.  Give that a try and if you find any more troubles keep posting here and we'll help to try and figure out how to get it all straightened out Smiley
