Hey Aaron, what you're describing is a classic case of dead batteries. First of all, make sure you are using the Li-Ion batteries supplied by Ultrasabers as store bought ones aren't nearly powerful enough to do the job. Second make sure to charge them with the Ultrasabers supplied battery charger until the charger lights show a steady green color. You should give them a good 6 hrs to charge but they might be ready sooner.
Dying batteries can cause erratic sound board issues and most definitely will effect the LED function. You should ALWAYS have fully charged batteries before you hook the sound board or emerald driver to the computer, otherwise there could be writing errors to the boards causing them damage.
Fully charged batteries should fix this up for you. Give that a try and if you find any more troubles keep posting here and we'll help to try and figure out how to get it all straightened out
