Heh you're not wrong. But just to specify: it wasn't as bad as what I'd heard/read; it was worse.
I've read fanfic that is FAR superior to what was presented.
But that's exactly what was made: inflated budget fan fic. I won't get into specific commentary, but a non-creative wanted Star Wars to reflect her reality, and that's what was made. These woke idiots think that fiction should mirror reality (specifically their reality), not realizing that fiction is supposed to be an escape from reality...that's why it's FICTION. They whine and cry because "they can't see themselves" in existing fictional characters, so they rewrite it to reflect a microscopic niche demographic, and then cry "IST-A-PHOBIA" when their project does poorly because people outside the target demographic have no interest and don't buy it. <whah whah> |

From what I've seen thus far (Episode 7), Season 2 is even BETTER than the first The first arc of Season 2 (Episodes 1-3) is the weakest but only relative to the remainder (and those are still VERY good). |

In my excitement to get the next season started I binged the entire first season in almost 24hrs. Had it not been for adulting (ugh) I would have succeeded. But I had to wait about a day and a half to get the last 25min of the last episode done. WTF? I cannot believe how little extra I picked up from a second viewing. By and large, this is such a good show. I'll start a spoilers thread so that can be avoided if someone (me) is not caught up. 'Cause I'm going to do episodic reviews. It will take me longer to get through eps because of the incessant pausing for notes and rewinding due to noises and distractions. Plus, having to share the main TV....and Kath not being fully occupied by being off selling turkeys. |
