Yes, apart from a couple of trips to the local shop to stock up on food. Among other things, I watched Terminator 1 & 2 and Bubba Ho-Tep.

Have you ever gone a full 24 hours without sleeping because you were just too caught up in what you were doing?

The phone or internet kind of takes most of the options other then actually being blind or blindfolded in person etc. Your video game system works off of the interwebz..
I've had a coversation during Pin the tail on the donkey. Also during power-outages and dark places.

Have you ever read the Bane Trilogy. Side question..How many SW books do you own?

No, because I already knew the answer: it's magic, stupid.

Have you ever played Elite?

no

magic is science we don't fully understand (apparating is teleporting, etc.) I just wondered if the painting is the actual person or a clever AI imitating the person, and how accurately would the AI emulate the person in question. a conversation between a painting of Dumbledore and the man himself comes to mind.

have you ever wondered what happened to Master Windu's lightsaber?

Yes, and thought it was either confiscated from whoever found it within at most 24 hours or surrendered to the authorities freely by an anxious concerned citizen after seeing a Scary Evil Traitorous Jedi newscast. It was also damaged by the fall and did not produce blade.

Have you ever released your neighbor's pig from its pen when you were little?

P.S. And the thing that makes science science is that you cannot use it without knowing what you are doing. Science IS knowledge first, application second. Uneducated (okay, educated in baloney) superstitious bozos believing in hokey-pokey poodoo are not going to create AIs. And I do not recall any IT technologies, or even basic physics taught at Hogwarts. Ergo, magic is different from science and runs on a whole other set of laws, logic and causality.

Logically answered by a true Rusky!  Cheesy

no, but I did once let my grandmother's chickens out, resulting in a rooster killed by one of the dogs, but she is always complains about too many roosters anyway Wink

have you ever gone to the store, brought your items to the counter, the clerk rang them up, and realized you left your wallet at home?

Not just any Russkie, but one that lived during the fall of the Union. The time when Mafiya shootouts happened on the streets, guns were left lying on the ground and no one picked them up, because everyone knew these guns were used for crimes and loaded with false accusations for whoever picks them up.

No outright left wallets, but I did find out that the wallet is too thin and had to cancel one or more of my purchases.

Not exactly, but I have ruined a keyboard for a desktop computer by spilling coffee on it.

Nope, certainly haven't.

Have you ever talked someone down when they were ready to kill themselves?

Yes.  Friend of mine from high school.  Few months after I went to USMC boot camp and he finished the act...too many demons chasing him apparently.

Have you ever ate mystery meat (unknown before you ate it) and then found out it was something you were really not all that cool with?

(was offered cajun stew once...afterwards found out it was raccoon...road kill...fresh road kill, but road kill none the less)

Once, in Switzerland, after a 30 hour bus trip. It might have been some sort of fish (and I loathe fish) but it was more important to eat something than to quibble about what it was - besides, my German wasn't up to the task...

Have you ever redlined a car, just to see how fast it could go?

Once...when I was full of stupid and self imposed invulnerability, in other words when I was 16yrs old.  In my 1975 Buick Apollo V8 350cu 4-barrel...on a lonely straight road, a 5 mile straight road...at night...after a party (6hrs after the last of 3-4 beers and 3.5hrs of sleep)...in a steady drizzle...(like I said, full of stupid).

Clearly I should have made a few decisions that would have led to better choices prior to hitting 100mph...that weird vibration...that odd smack-crack sound that presented itself when I applied the brakes...the realization that I had no brakes...in the middle of the night...in the rain...with the straight road coming to a rather sudden 90* right or left option looming ever closer.

I went through the right left option at 50-55mph going through the fence and into the corn field...against the rows...so let us say a rough ride.

Lost control...the front end buried into the dirt and corn stalks...I went into the steering wheel and then my forehead met the windshield.

The tow truck driver cut me some slack and bought the car for $300 on the spot and I claimed it taken from the party by a group that went on a joy ride.

All in all not my best moment...but it was the beginning of my staying on the path.

Have you ever taken someone out on a pity date?

(same time period...looking back at my high school adventures, I was not always the nicest or level headed of guys...two pity dates on my call sheet...the Claret twins, actually I took out Rhonda but Rebecca's date bailed on her and they played the switch game after we had a few too many...I knew but did not care an played along, never called them back and I still feel bad about it today......Eveline, yes she called herself Evil Lynn...looking back she was quite the nerd/geek but I was too into being 16yrs old to see it clearly...on the date her Mom and Dad invited themselves to our table and in mid bite of steak her Dad looked at me all serious and asked me when Eveline and I were getting married...I choked on the meat and panicked a bit...the rest of the night was awkward to say the least)
