Part of giving some very good friends of ours two of my sabers for their wedding earlier this fall was that I would get to replace them for Christmas. Thanks to the sale over the weekend (which I nearly missed, mind you), that order's been placed:
Belllicose in BR, Red AV, Silver FoC, Bronze Button, QDs, and a Covertec clip, since this will be my first saber with the Covertec knob.
Oh, yeah, and Obsidian Sound! This will /also/ be my first saber with sound. I went back and forth, a lot, on whether to replace the pair of sabers or to get one with sound. The advice from the forum was a resounding "What's wrong with you? Why don't you have sound yet? Get that, you silly mook!"
Sadly, even if she were to arrive in three days flat, all I get to do is open the box, inspect for damage during shipping, and then hand her over to the wife until Christmas. This is going to be a LONG month.

It's not always that I get to post here, but I am patiently awaiting my son's VA/AS Prophecy v3 which is in transit. It's his saber (nobody believes me - I already have my Belli!!) and I'm really pumped for him. Padawan initiation ceremony vid is coming up!

Point to you for your good taste, and the fact I wish I were your friend!!  Edited to ask light or dark points? It is looking like I will be turning to the Dark Side. This saber purchase has inspired me and I am starting work on my first Sith Lord costume soon! |

Just ordered the Shock LE in Consular Green/Orange FOC, gonna put that MLS in my Archon and make the Shock LE DVA/BH FOC. My DVA turned out to be more like a lightning purpleblue, which is GORGEOUS. If I order another DVA module, can I request that they lessen the blue a bit? Not sure if that'd work lol. And it's shipping ridiculously FAST, it'll be here Friday, it shipped yesterday.

my mom ordered me my first saber a few weeks ago 4 x mas.i know it is in my attic right now but i will have 2 wait 4 xmas.i am really nevous because it is my 1st saber ever. i cant wait 2 c it. it is a GB overlord with a green AV switch and sound.36in UEHG blade.i am probally going 2 order a dark arbiter pommel 4 it after xmas because i love that pommel on the overlord.i hope i like it because it is the only thing i am getting 4 xmas because it cost $280 with the sale.i have 2 wait a long time.cant wait

Also ordered for myself with Christmas money i received:
Malice emitter with Large blades and Gold button
Archon pommel
40" Mid Grade blade
(all three to make my Blazing Red Consular into something more intimidating)
MLS in DVA with Silver flash
Manticore emitter
(those two to make the same Consular into something 'Lighter')
Took advantage of the sale for sabers with sound and the saber stand deal (to give my mother a stand for her saber that's likely to be a display piece), and realized that i could afford both customizations for my Consular because i had a good number of Rewards Points saved up (almost got the MLS for free).

My beautiful and loving wife ordered me a stunt SRD Overlord w/ vented flush coupler to go with my SRD obsidian one, so I get my first staff. I'm excited, thanks US for putting it on sale to finally get her to let me get it.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter when it arrives because my evil wife has stated that since it is a Christmas Present, it gets wrapped up and put under the tree.
But on one final semi-bright side, we usually buy a lot of presents for each other, and by Christmas Eve we normally only have one present left under the tree.

eerockk: Most definitely. Somewhere i had a thread about the idea for this saber and used MS Paint to approximate how it would look. was trying to suggest an even longer blade to make it a lightsaber nodachi, but that's not going to work as i heard even the 40" gets dim towards the end. i was also basing it off of the small blade version of the emitter, but decided to opt for the large blade version because a) it's more intimidating which fits the name i've given it (Kyoufu, japanese for fear, terror, horror, dread) and b) the large blades don't cost extra and the small blades don't knock the price down. Also looking forward to how the Manticore emitter looks on the Consular (kinda wish they offered a nickel plated version of that emitter to match my Consular's shroud). reiperx: Awesome sounding staff. My wife and i generally don't hold onto Christmas (or any) presents for each other because she's impatient. The only way for her to stop wanting to give me what she got for me within a day or so is to completely forget that she got it for me and forget where she hid it. And if she knows i got her something (hard to hide when we both keep a close eye on our finances) she'll bug me constantly until i tell her what it is, and then constantly complain until i give it to her. We make everyone else wait though. |
