I really like what you've done with your one saber. And the color palette you chose for this costume.

I like the cape folded back over the shoulders - dashing!

I'm a little late to the party here, but that is a great costume!  I like the non-traditional colors and the cloak and it all looks great.  Plus how can you beat a dual-saber wielder with a blaster?  Some Sith out there are gonna be a in a world of hurt.  Wink

Such a nice costume. I thought capes wasn't allowed on either side though unless they have changed? I wouldn't be accepted because I won't be doing the food capsules or communicator. Plus my costume will be all black Sith.

How can capes NOT be allowed, when both Dooku (a former Jedi) and Vader (another former Jedi) where them?

Rebel Legion is very particular about the style of cape a Jedi is allowed to wear. They prefer that you have a robe but a full lenght cloak is acceptable as long as it looks like Luke's from ROTJ...big hood, floor length. These requirments are only to get the costume item "formally" accepted. This is of cousre just for the "generic Jedi" rules, face characters have different rules, specfic to the character.

Now, you can use a cape that does not fit the above description as long as you have enough other costume pieces to meet RL's requirments for the over all costume. Meaning that the costume is accepted and the cape becomes an optional add-on and you have more freedom with the style (within reason). Ashtor has food caps, belt pouches, and an under tunic to satisfy the requirments, so the cape does not count and is a personal choice, not a core piece of the costume. It is like a signature item.

A lot of these rules seemed strange to me when I join RL but I understand the reason for them now. They need to draw a line somewhere or else the standards go out the window. The down side is that I am sure some people could come up with some very cool costumes if given the freedom to do what they want. However, without guidelines, you might also end up with some very bizzare stuff and then how can you tell a person it is not acceptable without a standard?

Hmmm, understandable on the one-hand, but a little dogmatic and narrow on the other. I would image that "home made" costumes are also not allowed, unless you are a movie level seamstress.
