A lot of people make their own costumes- as long as the workmanship is of decent quality, it's allowed. You wouldn't be able to get away with leaving things unhemmed or glueing your costume together instead of sewing, but as long as you do a neat finishing job it's good.

As for Ashtor, nice job! It looks like you're using customized Phantom hilts, pretty cool!

Yeah, it's not that hard to sew something quality with a little practice.  There's a lot of costumes you could do with basic sewing skills and a decent pattern.

Really awesome job. Love the choice of colors for a Rebel. Fits the era quite well.
