Good to know, thanks!  Now for the slightly tougher questions.  Why?  Does the paint adhere to the metal better?  Does the finish just look better?  Is the choice of colors better in Rust-Oleum? 

I’ve never looked into this before, so I’m full of questions, and I’m sure some of them don’t even make sense because I have no experience.

I’ve never looked into this before, so I’m full of questions, and I’m sure some of them don’t even make sense because I have no experience.

The main reason I chose this type - Rust-Oleum Universal Advanced Formula - is because it is specifically designed for multiple surfaces and for use on outdoor furniture and fetures.  It wears like iron and it bonds with almost anything.  IT is also a primer/paint combo, so you don't have to do a lot of special prep, just make sure the surface is clean and masked. 

It also comes in a bunch of colors, but specifically in one called Black Stainless Steel, which is the color I SPECIFICALLY wanted.

but it has a bunch of other colors as well, in a variety of finishes.   The satin finish, though, has worn like iron and it actually creates a better grip surface as well as looking very nice.

So that's why I use it.  :-)   Oh, and it is readily available at your local stores.  I've gotten it at Target, Wal-Mart, and Publix.

What is the length on this thing? It looks great, and it gives the impression it might be beautiful with two of them in hand.

With big hands that may work. I don't have mine or the measurements with me at the moments but it is quite long and a little thick because of being fully shrouded.

Question for you orange owners. I’m getting ready to purchase two twin sabers. They will be identical except for blade color. I want them to be two different shades of orange. My question is do I go with tri-fire and pyrestone or do I go tri-silver and use filters to get the orange look I want? I’m kinda leaning towards the silver/filter option but wanted opinions from those that have orange blades. Also which blade is better for orange. Regular or ultra edge? That last one isn’t as important just curious.
