I have had requests to do Stunt Builds for DIY'ers. I'll be calling the series Kings and Prophets Stunts! The very first video will be using the Prophecy Version 3. I show you how to properly disassemble a saber for cleaning your hilt prior to your upgrades. I do apologize in advance for the amount of coughing on the video. My respiratory allergies are quite severe and I live in an area known as the "allergy capital of the USA."
I give you Kings and Prophets Stunts! Part 1.
The next video in this series will involve the actual cleaning of this particular hilt to remove polish and paint so that it will be nice and silver. If you do have blade retention screws installed on your hilt, then you will need to first remove the brass knurled knobs and then use a wrench (that US conveniently sells and I hoped you purchased with your hilt) to remove the two screws on the Prophecy.
Future installments will include:
1. Finding and installing screws that you can use two fingers to remove the blade. Comes in super handy for those that attend cons so that they can carry the saber on their belts.
2. Using protective caps on your blades to prevent dust from entering the core.
3. Taking a Heavy Grade style blade and using sand paper to give it an effect similar to the Ultraedge blade. I'll also test this with different LED's that I own so that we can get a comparison of what types of colors will looks good in it. If you have a particular color that you want me to test, then please let me know. If I own it or have access to it, I'll do the comparison.
4. I'll go over the electronics setup so that you'll be able to install Li Ion Batteries & Buck Pucks for more even battery usage. If you don't own a version 3, I'll go over some tips and procedures as well so that you can use alternatives to upgrade to Li Ions.
5. Removal of the Covertec Knob and using that existing hole to install a recharge port. This will hopefully improve two hand grip on this saber.
6. Installation of D-ring on the pommel for OT styling.
7. Using easy to find materials to help prevent any rattling in this V3 style hilt.
