Thanks Rel. Thats been the big thing for me lately is turning these things into a more positive light rather than make them seem like a chore. Today was a bit disappointing, though. My professor had us take notes for an hour rather than exercise. But rather than quit, I went to the gym during open hours and worked out for about an hour, with 30 minutes dedicated to some moderately intense cardio on a bike.
I'm feeling great, and I feel like I've been productive!

I've been doing a bit more lately. My diet has been steady and consistent with a good amount of fiber and protein and carbs for energy during my workouts. SPeaking of, I've started doing some yoga and pilates everyday, even if I don't intend to go to the gym. Essentially I'm going to start warming up every day, and on certain days after the warm up, I'll actually get in a gym and work out proper.
As a side note, I've also started watching some of TPLA's videos and I'm trying to teach myself how to use my sabers, but it's not easy. I'm still trying to learn footwork, but it *kills* my knees after only a few moments, and my quads are dead after only a few steps. I think I'm doing something wrong, but I've no way to be certain D:

Necro! Quick update on things! Changed my diet around a bit, as well as found some better vitamins for what I was lacking! Down to 310 and some change!

Good work making progress. It isn't easy. I used to run and exercise a lot while in the army but then I developed problems in my feet. Now I can't run more than 1/4 mile before the pain is unbearable. I gain a lot of weight and I'm around 295 now. My sabers are part of my plan to fix it. I'm working on a saber fitness program to use the ATM activity maneuvering a saber in place of the movement on my feet. Its less effective per time spent but better than nothing. Hope I can progress like you.

i am currently attending a Qigong event in Florida... and have bought a healthy food book, it is packed cram full of so much lintel about natural health and foods that i am overwhelmed... i plan to make some posts about the book in the coming few months after i get more acclimated with the knowledge myself.. and i am blown away by qigong, if you want to take control of YOUR life, QiGong is the answer... not martial arts.. its a life empowerment and self healing meditation... dont be fooled, its a powerhouse... after a breathing exercise, .. i just started crying... my mind was blank, but my body just let it out... i held in the sounds, but my sniffling and tears ran from my eyes... its like my body had made a connection, that it had not felt in years...
i am also a LMT (lic. massage therapist... and work in a heath/fitness gym, we work the tri-fecta of good health; fitness, body work/massage, and nutrition..
keep it up man, you can go as far as you want to go, its all in your head, ... when you say "i cant do that" your muscles and cells are listening...
again more to come in the next month as i read this new book on healing foods and the things we throw away... (sneak peek... the skin of an apple, is what has ALL the good stuff.. the seeds too.... all that stuff in the middle... its nothing good at all, just sugars, no good nutrition at all, i love to chew the hell out of apple skin, .. if you can, get a 3hp blender, and blend up the Seed of an avocado, some apple peeling. the "meat" of the avocado, also, the top of a pineapple?.. pull the leaves off, and find the center stalk, toss it in the blender too, it had loads of good nutrients in it... ...
one more big thing... DONT EAT ANY MEAT that is charred, its been scientifically proven that its the same thing as carcinogens.. eating a crispy BBQ ribs.. that are charred to hell, is like smoking 600 cigarettes in a day.
if anyone feels this is hooki pooki intel.. by all means, feel free to lookn it all up.. ill still be making a big post in the coming month about my findings in the book i bought from the event, and i still have 3 more days, im just really into the health and energy things..

Quick update;
Been doing Yoga as well as DDP Yoga for funsies (Ow) and I've been stable at 310 for 3 weeks. This is a hell of an improvement from the past year when I've been bouncing between 310 and 315 constantly. So seeing a stable and constant number is fantastic for me. Gonna keep working out, gonna keep up with my diet as much as I can (Stress eating not withstanding), and gonna get to 280 by next summer hopefully.

You have achieved something massively important and admirable! I, too, have struggled with weight loss and while it is by no means as impressive as yours, people fail to realize that this is such a personal, almost spiritual journey. You are very literally changing who you are at your core and that? That's hard. It's impressive. It's transformative.
You will hit your goal. I have NO doubt!

Huh, I really like the idea of just cooking to create rather than to eat. I mean, it goes against everything I've been taught by my family (Don't cook unless you intend to eat it!), but I like the idea and it's certainly something I'll try! I just need to find a job so I can afford ingredients XD I could ask my ex-wife for some recipies. She managed to lose 100lbs through diet alone. She couldn't exercise due to her bad back. Plus she's a chef. For instance her chicken w/ challets and white wine is only like 4-500 calories per plate. I was stuffed, and it was OMG deliscious.

i have found an amazing book on all kinds of ingredients and what they truly have in them.. i have learned of a plant chemical in all things, called phyto-chemicals... these chemicals are natural in nature and
1 molecule away from the chemicals found in our bodies normally... what does this mean??.. it means our bodies see them as failure chemicals, and can more easily use them in our bodies...
anyone remember hearing, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"..... its cause it meant.. eat the whole apple.. core, seeds, skin, "meat" (the sugary insides) even the stem....
avocados are the greatest source of SOLUBLE FATS you could ever find in nature... why is that amazing?.. cause our bodies use soluble fats in everything we do...
if there is one thing i always believed in, its the thought that you give you body enough of something, it makes naturally, it will stop holding on that thing.. cause it get more then it needs from outside sources... this goes hand in hand with everything natural
think about it... if you get allergies to .. pets., cats dogs, plants... i can say as myself as an example... that its because you were not subjected to them early on in life, when your body was learning to fight off those things... i had bad allergies to cats... then i got into a situation where i had to have 2 cats in my room ... that was almost 8 years ago... about three years after i had cat dander and car hair all over my room... i stopped having the allergies tot hem..... that includes the thought that everything i took for the allergies symptoms, only made them worse in one way or another....
cleratin d made me run constantly and still sneeze.. benidrill only clogged it up and made me tired.... i just gave up and took the agony of letting my body make its own agents to fight off the cat type allergens... yes it was miserable.. yes it took time... but in the end, my body now has the knowledge to fight them off on its own... i even rub my face in my cats fur like cats do to each other as a sign of affection.. and no allergy reaction at all.
basically, if you give your body more soluble fats then it needs, it will say, "hey, i don't need to hold onto it, i get more then enough from outside sources.." as a health and fitness massage therapist that works in a fitness center.. i am always learning more and more about healthy eating and body functions...
if i could ask you to try one thing... i would say try to eat a whole avocado every day, nothing added to it.. eat it with some crackers, toast, baked plan chips... anyway you can, add it to a smoothie... slice it onto a turkey burger... i promise you will see results in a month if you stick to your healthy diet, and stable exercise.

I've lost 50lbs since last year. Most of that was running in a treadmill. Recently I've been slacking a little due to personal issues. Kind of like what you mentioned in your first post.
I recently built my treadmill into a walking desk and moved my gaming rig to the basement. So I have to walk if I want to play SWTOR.
Your posts have inspired me to try and buckle down again and start running. Thank you all. I wish you all good luck.
