Fairly simple idea...offer two polar choices that are both viable and interesting (so please no silly stuff, let us have some fun with this), as per the famous Matrix choice.  This differs from the existing "would you rather" because the choices have complexity...so not "bacon or cheese" types of choices.

The options should have long term ramifications...and should not be "no brainers"...

It could be anything in context of genre...super powers, places to live, philosophy, etc.  Just stick to the standard forum rules...no politics, no religion, keep it SFW, etc.

We will let the offered choice stand for 5 responses or 5 days, whichever comes first.  After one or the other is met then anyone may start up another.

*****

I will start it up with an offer of...

Which would you choose...

Red pill...Immortality, you can live forever...if...you steal life from others...a second, a minute, an hour...a simple touch is all you need to drain the life away, once drained you can not give it back.  This means that injuries can be healed almost instantaneously if you transfer your wounds to others, or you can heal at a normal rate.  You are not immune to injury or death, you are the same as everyone in that regard, but if you avoid a quick death and are willing to steal life from others, you can be young and live forever.

or

Blue pill...Transference, you can take away the pain, ills, depression, etc. from anyone you touch...this transfers directly to you...you can, if able, transfer this same condition to another...but this condition is at full value, draw out stage four cancer from one then pass it along to another in full, not 100 people getting 01%...your life span is normal in all other considerations.

Ursula said it best..."Life's full of tough choices, isn't it?"

First off point for a very interesting game Master Rel.

I would choose the red pill a hard choice but immortality interest me.

Red pill- The power to control time you may not change or interact with your own time line but you can interact and change others. You will have the power to see what was, what is and what will be.

Or

Blue pill- The power of the heart you can give or take love from people but you will never know it for your self. You will always be alone but you can bring joy or sadness to so many.

Blue Pill...I would not live forever but I could make a lot of people healthy and share some illnesses to the worthy.

Master Rel's Choices: Red Pill.. Stealing an hour or a day from a completely healthy person will not take much from them.  Stealing a few years from someone on death row would not take much from them either, they would still have many years of natural life ahead of them.

Scorpius' Choices: Red Pill as well, my curiosity gets the better of me.  However great restraint would be necessary as not to complicate time.

Red pill - immortality is always way to go in my case and, what's more, if you're stupid you die either way - that's kind of 'amusing'; also, as said above, stealing one minute (or less) of life from someone isn't that horrible (c'mon, more and more people are born all the time!)... I'm not saying, it's completely all right, but I consider it not so bad-looking as the Blue pill (no offence) Cheesy

btw, interesting choices! Cheesy

that's disturbing that you thought of such an option. I would choose the red pill, as a lonely life would be unbarable for me.

Red Pill - I can be immortal and spend my life learning and benefitting mankind. As to the requirement to steal life from others... well, there's always a criminal element, isn't there? I take no more than five years from someone, no problem. I get injured? Transfer those injuries to a child molester. I continue to live and benefit mankind through learning and invention, while scumbags get punished. Everyone wins.

Blue Pill - This is pretty much my life as it is, so why be able to make people happy?

Deliverance from evil. Virtus est in sola fide.

Master Rel's Red Pill: I'm not going to pretend I'm worth so much to the world I could justify stealing life to prolong my own in most cases, but immortality (for as long as I see fit, so no 'curse' comes with it) is just too good to pass up. Maybe I could go Supernaturalist style and get a job as an EMT, easing the passing of people dying from fatal and agonizing injuries and extending my own life in the process.

Darth Scorious' Red Pill: I'd rather be a Time Lord than a literary fiction protagonist.

Now for my choices:

Red Pill - A different take on immortality. You gain the ability to transfer your soul to the body of any human you see who is under the age of twenty. Their soul ceases to exist, and you gain all of their memories as well as keeping their own. Your original body will collapse, have multiple organ failures, and either die or be in a coma for as long as the body is kept alive. You may not use this power unless your current body is at least twenty years old, but you may use this as many times as you are able. Essentially, you can live forever at the cost of every loved one you have ever met across your many lives believing you died a horrible death.

Blue Pill - You are forced to always tell the plain truth. Everyone will always believe you are telling the truth. You gain the ability to force other people to tell the truth by touching them, and they will always be believed when they do so, and will think they are telling the truth of their own accord. Once you have used this power on them, they will never be able to lie again. Think carefully about this one; There are more downsides than immediately obvious.

Red pill: I would stay in contact with my family from across the nether, I could always prove to them that I have taken another form. However, what I need clarified: The soul of the person I take over, does theirs merge with mine, or does mine simply take over but their memories become mine?

Blue Pill. I would, for lack of a better word, infect the entire world with both the inability to lie and the knowledge that all that is being said was truth. Think of the massive shift in global consciousness this would bring. Think about an elected leader who cannot lie!! Think about a court system where people telling the truth can't be disbelieved and where the guilty can do nothing but admit their guilt!!
