Okay, assuming there are no objections, I thought we could resolve the two Ultra Squadrons issue by combinging them into a full Wing! THis is of course up to the members of the two squadrons, but I thought it would work rather nicely this way as then we can have a squadron for Clone Wars Era Pilots, and one for OT Era. So if everyone is in, sound off, and here's a nice neat spot to put all of the Squadron Chatter!

Well, it isn't a videogame Caine. It is a thread / group that is essentially so that all the Ultra Saber fanatics who are also total Pilot (be that Rebel Pilot, Clone Pilot, Jedi Pilot, Sith, Mando, etc) fanatics can.... well, have a little spot to hang and just have a little fun talking about anything that relates to the combination of starfighters and lightsabers in the same place. Don't worry, it's not a roleplaying thread (though admittedly, we do make some IU jokes from time to time). I'm not sure how to say it much better, it's just for all the guys who love starfighters as much as sabers to congregate. Heck, it might even help some of our fighter talk from spilling over into other threads all the time! lol

Beyond that, at least when me and Raze had the idea back in April, it was in the hopes of eventually having a group of Ultrasaber fans who could also help each other get Pilot costumes together and stuff of such nature. The idea was more or less that it would be really great to support Ultra via our favorite type of star wars soldiers, with a US Squadron patch and our sabers on our flight harnesses as a tribute. Then recently we found there was a second Ultra Squadron floating around the forums, that seems to focus more on prequel era ships (whereas the first group was all X-Wings), and it seemed logical to get the two together in one spot.

We do apologize if we've stepped on any toes or started something we shouldn't have. If it's relevant, I believe Ultra once commented that he thought the idea was entertaining and that he had no problem with it, though that would have been some time back and I don't remember for certain where he would have commented, if he did.

That sounds very interesting, but I'll refrain from prying. If there's a more appropriate spot, or will soon be, for this, then I will happily abide by the Masters' judgement of where it belongs, and even if it belongs.

im still in as #7 I prefer an eta 5 interceptor. love that ship. I like mixed squadrons. the variety gives an edge.

As for mixed squadrons, I too prefer a well rounded consist. I would not at all object to a few Clone Wars or early Imperial craft in the OT era Squadron, as it would make great IU sense anyways. I just figure that busting up the eras allows those with characters written up with prequel era background and ot era background to 'keep their history straight' should they chose to write up any Ultra Squadron Fanfiction. Incidentally, might as well let ya'll know me an ThreadJack have been working on just such a fanfic, though it stalled some time ago.

Sounds interesting Nero! Okay guys, I'm gonna go edit the original post here to have a full Roster for the Wing. That we there'll be a list of all Squadrons, Numbers, and Callsigns, as well as craft of choice for the mixed squadrons.

Nero, would you or MAV be interested in taking lead on the Stealth X Squadron?

EDIT: I don't seem to be able to modify my original post.... could someone help me with that? Or is it normal? I've never really had to modify many of my posts here before so I don't know. lol
