These Ultrasabers are tough and rugged. I was doing an obi ani spin with my weak hand (left hand) at full speed with a 32 inch blade and whacked the back of my leg really hard. Left a mean bruise!!! Ultrasabers HURT!

I straight up full force stabbed myself in the eye doing a reverse grip plum flower. I'm lucky I'm ok. I've also completely smashed my thumb when I caught my saber off a throw one time. It was like I hit it with a hammer.

whacked myself all over. I am hard headed so the worst was when i smacked my ankle full force. my foot was numb for the rest of the day.

cracks to the hands really hurt, unless you have gloves
I also had a nasty whack to my left elbow, which is a bit sensitive ever since it battered with a two-handed sword.....it bruised and swelled up

I would say that sucks, but i'm too busy laughing that said last sunday a mate was showing off spinning his new staff around and smacked himself in the back of the head straight away......the duel in episode I would've been very short if he were darth maul |

I can't even count the number of times I have hit myself with mine. Some of the contact moves I learned, it comes with the teritory. The worst was when I was learning an advanced neck roll and I hit myself right above the eye with the hint. It left a big bruise and hurt for days. When it was about healed, I was trying a different move and clocked myself in the exact same spot. It left a big welt that lasted for about a week.

Sparring with them does hurt...but not anywhere near as bad as oak bokken.
Actually after doing my obi-anni a lot my right arm is pretty sore.
Probably from trying it with a pvc/foam larp staff. That thing is heavy.
