OK I'm in...(for those who remember me, my last order was cancelled) I shall call my order - Mace Maul! It's a light side take on Darth Maul's saber, so I went with: Menace SE with Obsidian Premium Sound [Blade LED Color:Violet Amethyst] [Flash on Clash:Flash Silver] [Battery Configuration:Li-Ion Setup with BuckPuck (Batteries & Charger Included)] [Recharge Port:No Recharge Port] [Blade Length:32" Length] [Blade Option:UltraEdge Midgrade] [Bottom Knurled Screw:Black] [Middle Knurled Screw:Silver] [Top Knurled Screw:Silver] [Emitter Type:Black Underlay - Windows] [Sound:Obsidian USB V4 Sound! [V4]] [Switch Type (Momentary):White Illuminated Silver AV Switch] No idea when I'll get it but I'm so pumped...even MORE pumped that I get to take part in the raffle!! Broke the bank, may have broken my marriage  But at least I'll have the coolest Lightsaber in the burbs! P.s. I'll be doing vids on my YT channel for sure. Hey! Glad you decided. Good choice.  |

Hey guys, another post from me.
I'm trying to make a decision on finally getting a saber with sound for this raffle. Is the Obsidian LITE soundboard good, or is it worth the extra $50 or so for the Obsidian V4 soundboard and premium sound?
I'm thinking of either going with the Catalyst or the Prophecy... Thoughts?

Hey guys, another post from me.

The difference is the battery configuration, as far as I know. Obsidian LITE boards only come in a standard set-up. Regular alkaline batteries. If you'd like a lithium set-up, go for the V3 or V4. The sound quality, and volume are nearly identical I believe. You've got the drop down bar to select your shipping method? It tricked me at first too, I thought it was filled out but I hadn't selected which option I wanted from the drop down menu.
If it still won't work, maybe try opening the chat panel at the top of the website and ask there. They're a very helpful bunch!

Thanks! Yea, I saw that first video already and that's what made me lean towards the Prophecy, it just looks so clean. If the only difference is the batteries, and from some more research a little bit of brightness and possible sound strength, I think the LITE board would be fine for me. For now, I don't see myself customizing and changing fonts very often, if at all. I think I've made my decision! Now to get the roommates to pay me their portion of the rent... |

I'm quite happy with the default obsidian sounds, even though I got the premium set-up on my Manticore. I've just ordered a dark Initiate V4 with LITE sound. I can compare for my self very soon! The Prophecy is a beautiful hilt I hear. I want one. |

My birthday is the 18th, and I always get my birthday money early.....looks like I'll need to buy a saber.
Same here. The question is, do I spend the $250 on a really nice saber for me? Or load up on grab bags for a royal rumble this summer? Decisions, decisions... |

Haha, thank you. I would definitely have to agree with you. When I go camping in the summer there's always a bunch of overly exciteable kids around, 10-15 ish in age. I bet they would enjoy something like this!

If you can afford it, the Obsidian v4 premium setup is the way to go imho for you first saber with sound. My friend and I both ordered Obsidian lite sabers after a certain movie came out. We upgraded to v4 because I read on the forums someone had gotten their saber after upgrading, and we both couldn't be happier. I was considering the lite, but since it's only a $45 difference (-$5 because I have chargers) I went for the v4 again. |
