I recently bought a soundfont from a certain store online that sells them, and am having trouble writing them to the Obsidian sound board. I don't have problems with Ultra's fonts, but the just the one I bought from another shop. I have the V4 and these are .wav files. I understand these should work.
It gives me an error message that reads: "Selected file [File location here]: must have the following format: uncompressed 16 bits per sample, mono at 48000 samplerate."
Can anyone help?

I'm not an expert in the obsidian realm, but I'll point out a few things I've noticed with mine and read here. An expert should be able to give you more accurate information and guidance.
Are you sure .wav files will work? I think the US fonts are .lsu files.
Are the files you are trying upload too big? A lot of people need to resize their banks by reducing the number of banks.
Again, I don't have a lot of experience messing with sound fonts, but I'd start there.

I know for sure .wav files work on the v4 according to this website, but you made some good points. I'll check to see if I have too much on my board. I only have 6 other fonts, so I assume that's not the case, but it's always worth a try!

Yeah, if you're going with different fonts, and you know you're only going to use those, then reduce to just that any to ensure room.
For example, I really like the standard obsidian, sith, and mute, so I'd only need 3 banks, which frees up a lot of room to add extra clashes and swing noises to those banks.

I've just completely wiped the board of all sound fonts, and I'm still getting the same error message unfortunately.

You have to convert/create the .wav files with said parameters - 16bit uncompressed, mono, 48kHz sample rate. If the files don't match these requirements, then you will get that error message.

I figured it was something like that, thanks. Do you know how I could do that?

You need a file converter or an audio processing program...I've heard that Audacity would be a good choice
