What pike configuration do you all recommend? like blade length wise and hilt length
I suppose I need to preface with is anyone here a taller person (above 6') and or what is the ratio between saber length and blade length. I am debating on trying a 24" or 36" blade .

That's an important variable to consider. I'm 5'7". Three extensions plus an Initiate hilt come to just over my shoulder, and the 24" blade puts it at over 7'.

i'm dead on 6 foot, over all i'd say my pike is about 7, its 2 extensions, dominix hilt, catalyst pommel and a 36" blade

I am 6 foot, so my pike is short compared to these guys. How tall are you and what hilt are you using? Do you have a yari yet or planning what to buy? I've hardly tried it out yet, but when I have, I've noticed the massive range I get. Opponents can't really get near me...lol
Doing any type of fast, or aggressive moves will be tricky...I'm trying to picture how to do it mentally...(hindered constantly by the weather right now - I ought to start building an ark).
I hope to post a vid soon of my GF and I. She has a staff - that will be interesting...lol
If you do make an ark give yourself headroom. This fight shows a good amount of attacking and defending moves that I used. But if you have a longer blade you have more to block with, thonk of your main defense as high guards but placed lowerhttps://youtu.be/AeeoEpmyb2Y

Give which a shot? A third extension? A longer blade? A shorter one?
If I should clearly know the answer, please excuse me - it's 3:49am.
Using a pike. I've done single, dual wielding, and recently started using a staff configuration but I've never tried using a pike for fighting.

Oh sorry...lol Yes, it's completely different than using a single blade or even a staff. Much more cumbersome and slow, but far reaching. Like a claymore.

Well, from what I've seen, you'll have no problem at all wielding one, and be even more deadly. Just keep it above the belt eh?

I have the SI Battle saber so a longer hilt, and I am just trying to plan what to buy first. As a taller person what do you prefer? The setup Im thinking about is 2 yari extensions the battle saber and a 36 in blade.

here is me trying my pike out. my goal was to fight defensively
your defense seems fairly offense-oriented.

Yeah with Spencer there my tactic was to lockup his main blade when he attacked then prepare for his offhand. I like to think of my style as aggressive offense

I am now curious to duel someone who uses a pike while I use dual sabers.
